Stunning location, landscaping and rooms! Our room had a fireplace, beautiful tiled bathroom and a private veranda surrounded by lush vegetation. The pool, hot tubs and spa were gorgeous. The access to the Fitness club across the street, with chairs overlooking the ocean was a special perk. The proximity to the main street in Mentocito was ideal for accessing Jeanine's breakfast cafe and Tre Lunes, a great local Italian restaurant. The staff were friendly and we were contacted by the concierge desk prior to our arrival and given suggestions for restaurants and the opportunity to book at the spa. I can't wait to return

Incredible resort. Gorgeous property. Really enjoyed the Casino Club.
Most of the staff is top notch. Just a few glitches with housekeeping not showing and a well intentioned waiter that was clueless. Love having coffee service bar to stagger to in the morning. Grab your own. No muss. No fuss. Overall, it was tough to leave and that's saying a lot as we travel quit a bit.

Many years ago, whilst briefly living in LA, I had the pleasure of brunching at The Biltmore. That whole experience has lingered with me for more than 25 years and getting the opportunity to actually be a guest all this time later, was an exciting prospect. The Biltmore was everything and more than I expected. I've been lucky enough to have stayed in some fine hotels, places that holiday memories can be made of. This hotel is one such place. If you are planning a big itinerary through the West Coast, make sure you splurge and totally indulge yourself, even just for one night, at this beautiful hotel.

Still a lovely property but 35 dollars for valet and an unbelievable 200 dollars to use the beach more than a little over the top. Staff as you would expect excellent but with such charges will not be returning again

Thank you for taking the time to review us, your compliments are much appreciated. We strive to provide guests with excellent service and I'm thrilled with your feedback that we accomplished this during your stay. I would, however, like to address your concern regarding the fee for our members only beach club. While there is a $200 daily access fee for Superior and Deluxe room categories in order to maintain the privacy and exclusivity of the club, this should have been communicated to you during the reservations process and other options explained. I apologize that this did not happen and would welcome the opportunity to personally speak with you further. Please feel free to contact me anytime, and meanwhile, I hope you will consider another stay with us again in the future.

Sincerely,

Michael Mestraud
Resort Manager

Just returned from the resort where we attended a wedding. What can be said other then to bubble with enthusiasm. The location is terrific. The grounds are lush and so well maintained. The hotel has a feeling as if you have gone back in time. The room was very comfortable. We had a room in the main building with a garden view. I am confused about the reviewer who was critical of the staff. I thought they were all incredible. Everyone was very helpful. Interesting it was done with a Santa Barbara casualness but very attentive, interested and attempted to anticipate your needs. It surely is California casual as opposed to snooty....and there was never an awkward moment when you felt they are waiting for a tip, and when you did tip them they were very gracious in accepting. The wedding reception was in the garden with the dinner in a spectacular room. Can't wait to return.

I can't say enough about this fantastic resort!
It is beautiful with an incredible location. We stayed for 4 nights in early February. From the welcome reception to every associate we met, they were all there to help.

Our room which I believe is a "standard" guest room was on the ground floor of one of the buildings with a nice patio and tropical plantings to add privacy.
The bar was being renovated, but we enjoyed cocktails and a snack in a nice area of the restaurant on 2 nights.
Breakfast buffet is what you would expect, expensive and good.

Take a walk along the beach in either direction. It is flat for walking or a run and you can enjoy the ocean views and some great houses to look at.

Nice fitness center with updated equipment. A nice touch is that the locker-room, steam, sauna is available to anyone using the gym, no charge.

Don't miss Monticeto, it is nice for a walk and there are some great restaurants (Lucky"s).
