“Great Location in Santa Barbara”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

The Sunrise RV park has a great location close to downtown. It is close to the 101, though the noise was not bad in our RV. The facilities are tight, but what do you expect being right in Santa Barbara. The staff was very nice, and the facilities had nice showers with good pressure. Would certainly come back if I stop again in Santa Barbara. WiFi worked great.

We really enjoyed the two nights we stayed at the Santa Barbara Sunrise RV Park. The managers are awesome and very helpful. Everything was very clean and the showers were amazing. I love the quaint cottage style buildings, they were kept up quite nicely. The location makes for easy access to take off and explore Santa Barbara or Monticito. We will difinitely go back!

The staff worked with us on our reservation, we had a great time in Santa Barbara, the restrooms were neat and clean, the shower water pressure was great, we had nice fellow travelers. The staff answered our questions, gave great directions, and we will come back when we bring the RV next!

Aldo I read à lot of bad reviews, it was à great place to stay! Yess its next to the highway but if you are traveling through And want to explore Santa Barbara, its perfect for one or two nights. You can walk to Santa Barbara whitin 20 minutes, I thought it was ok to walk, if you have à bike its better :) but you can rent bikes in Santa Barbara. There is also à shuttle from THE beach that brings you downtown for only 50 cents.(also to THE waterfront) We took à taxi back to THE park at night after lots of exploring, shopping, dinner, Santa Barbara was realky nice And after long day Aldo it was next to THE highway, slept like à baby! THE staff was very Nice And helpfull! Extra thanks for them!

Just to be clear, we were born and raised in Santa Barbara, so knew exactly what to expect of this RV park and general area. Santa Barbara is a very expensive place to visit, so reviewers who complain about the price of this park are out of line. The park is perfect as a base of operations for anyone wanting to explore SB.
The person handling reservations (Judy) was professional and courteous. When we arrived (early) we were welcomed by Terry, the new manager, who was efficient and ready to help park us. Parking was easy. The laundry was clean and well kept. We did not use the showers since we had full hookups and did not need them. Terry gave us a map with all lock combinations, WiFi codes, and any other info we might need. We stayed 2 nights and revisited a bunch of our old haunts, as well as the remaining relative in town.
I consider this park a very viable option for future visits to Santa Barbara. Sure, it is small and old but well kept, friendly, and a great deal for staying in a very expensive location.

The gentleman who booked us in was great and gave us some advise on the area but there is where the 2 stars go!
The RV park is extremely small the toilet/ shower area small and as there are windows at waist height makes you feel very insecure we only stayed 2 nights and was glad to leave we went to the local shops but it didn't feel a safe area at all
It is very expensive and to top it all we paid $70 per night only to be told on arrival there was no electric until 5pm as there was working on overhead lines been carried out no mention of that when we booked a few days before the work continued the next day too
Although the highway was so close to be honest the noise was nt an issue and the toilet area were clean
We had a 32ft RV so it maybe fine for smaller ones it is a way from Santa Barbara we took a bus it took approximately 20 mins but nice place to shop

Room Tip: Small and lacked facilities you'd expect for sort of money being charged

We agree with you about the bath windows. They are frosted, but that probably doesn't feel as safe as opaque, so we have painted them. A little less daylight coming in, but we want our guests to feel comfortable. We are so sorry that the electrical service was out during your visit. SCE (Southern California Edison) was working in the area and we had no control over their work schedule. Thanks for staying with us and we hope you'll give us another try next time you are in town.

We are back for a second time!!! If you want to enjoy Santa Barbara and see all it has to offer, this is where to stay! Yes, the park is an older small facility, but it's very clean and friendly. Beaches, shopping, and restaurants are all within a mile or so. The park does sit along hwy 101, however there is a 12 foot wall running along the highway, which cuts down on traffic noise. If you are a real light sleeper turn on a fan at night and you won't be bothered.
There are 4 clean bathrooms with showers and a small laundry room, which only charges $1.00 to wash.
The rates are great compared to other facilities in the area. This is the ONLY RV park in Santa Barbara. What a great find!
