With an imaginative yet approachable menu created by the gifted Jason Paluska, The Lark celebrates everything found around Santa Barbara County – wineries, farms, ocean and natural beauty. The stunning design strives to connect to the past and the future, using discovered objects from the past and blending them with modern, urban and industrial materials to spectacular effect.

My husband and I got a recommendation of this place from a local. We were very impressed with quality, quantity(just right),
And service. Food was soo good and we had a perfect bottle of wine that was recommended by waiter. They have a fun and knowledgeable staff. After a beautiful dinner, you can stay awhile and hang at the bar.

“Very Trendy”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Lark is a fun new restaurant in Santa Barbara. In a town where nobody makes an effort to get dressed up for dinner, everyone does for The Lark. It's a refreshing change and the food and drink is excellent. I always enjoy myself. Book ahead. It's crowded!

“Great Food, Great Service & Great Ambience”

Title says it all. One of my favorite restaurants. The best way to approach the dining experience is to do "communal plates". Order a variety of dishes and everyone shares. The Brussels Sprouts and Stuffed Olives on the appetizer menu are awesome. Restaurant in an old warehouse - spectacular feel to the place. Very lively and upbeat. Take a bunch of friends and have fun!

“Style over taste”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

We had dinner here on Wednesday night. The place was busy, sufficiently so that when we were 20 minutes early for a reservation they could not seat us. Fair enough. We sat outside, in a pleasant space, quite full of people and young servers. The wine steward was making a fashion statement for sure. We're in our seventies, but felt comfortable there. Food however, left much to be desired. Most memorable was my chicken dish, with pea vines. I've enjoyed pea vines before, on pizza and in SE Asian food. I even make a trip to the Asian market to purchase them to use at home. These were very different, and inedible. With large leaves, tough stems, they seemed to be there for appearance only, but were such a big pile it was hard to find a place to set them aside. Underneath, chicken and something mashed (perhaps local potatoes) were tasty but not memorably so. A charcuterie plate started the theme. Meats were not prepared in the restaurant, not local, not USA origin. The whole thing came on a chopping block 1.5 to 2 inches thick, with no edges. I wondered how many get dumped between kitchen and diners. It was a challenge to keep it all in place on our table, for sure. It is unlikely we'll visit Santa Barbara again but if we do, we'd have no reason to return to The Lark

My husband and I made a trip to The Lark while staying in Santa Barbra and I am so glad we did.

The food was fantastic - unique and flavorful. The servers were attentive and helpful by explaining all the food on the menu and what they brought out. Finally the ambiance was incredible- super unique and cool. We didn't want to leave.
