“The quintessential B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

We first booked at the Bath Street Inn because they offered to make up one of the rooms as two double beds, so we could stay with our two teenagers and wean them off of chain hotels. What we found was simply the definition of a great B&B. Lovely, comfortable rooms that were well-appointed and thoughtfully prepared. A welcoming environment with lots of videos and books. Ample parking, easy access at all hours, and a short walk to downtown. A very, very, very ample breakfast. And of course an amazing hostess, Vickie, who made us feel so welcome and seemed to be there at every moment inquiring about our needs. It was a lovely stay at a lovely B&B, and we would recommend it highly!

Room Tip: We stayed in Susan's Loft, which is in a separate building with its own balcony. A little quirky...

With a last minute trip up to Santa Barbara my husband was driving and I was on my phone searching for a place for 1 possibly two nights. We made many various calls to other places. We booked immediately over the phone with the nicest lady in town! We stayed in the wedge wood room, 3rd floor with small, bathroom ~ which was lovely and perfect in every way! I especially loved the cross ventilation from the window. The ladies who owned and ran the B and B were down to earth, genuine, and welcoming. I only wish we stayed for the amazing breakfast (peach stuffed french toast, with fruit and homemade granola, and tea, and more. But ~ we were meeting friends for the World Cup USA game so, well... Men! Otherwise 10/10 a must visit. You could never go wrong!! I hope to have the opportunity to visit with them again ~ Pat, and Rebekah Webber (Torrance, CA).

We two seniors who have traveled the world rate Bath Street Inn to be superb! The house is charming, the staff friendly and helpful and the food divine. Breakfast alone is unique, delicious, and to be anticipated each day. Then there are the wonderful fresh baked cookies and cakes placed out every afternoon. Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed here for a somewhat belated honeymoon getaway. We both really loved it! It's beautiful, the women are extremely hospitable, the food is delicious, and it is in walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara and the beach. Breakfast came with fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, milk plus an entree and baked good each morning. Everything is homemade/fresh and yummy! They serve homemade cakes and cookies during tea time, and serve white wine with cheese and crackers in the evening. The ladies are very accommodating when it comes to preferences, needs/food allergies, etc. It's nice getting to know the other people staying at the inn as well which you don't really get when staying in a hotel. We would definitely recommend Bath Street Inn to anyone interested in visiting Santa Barbara!

Room Tip: If you're going on a romantic getaway, ask for the "Wisteria Room". It has a jacuzzi t...

We arrived late, but were met with warm greetings and impeccable hospitality. Marie, the hostess, offered us a good choice of desserts and tea-coffee (the almond pie was one of the best I've ever tried). The room was clean and very country-life stylish, which is very lovely and desirable. Marie has all the information for the tourists like us; she advised about the restaurants and places to see in Santa Barbara. The breakfast in the patio was unforgettable as well, delicious, gourmet. The location of this charming little hotel is just 5 minutes walk from downtown with all nice restaurants; one of them was Downy, which we chose for dinner (excellent one). Surely, I recommend Bath Street Inn to anyone who stays in Santa Barbara. Ulyana and Vladislav

The hosts were very welcoming and very nice. The Inn is a little palace with number one breakfasts. Beautiful room, very cosy and quiet. Nice cakes, juices and wine in the afternoon. We stayed ther two nights, we could have stayed a week.
