An artichoke as a appetizer in a brewery? Yup! And it's to die for! Only in California will you be able to pull this off. Honestly, one of the best things I have ever eaten. The beer is great too and don't miss the onion rings. Hit them for happy hour and get the same things at a lower price.

More of a neighborhood place than tourist bar. The staff is fun and appreciate your business. The food is good, never overly crowded, except for Sunday brunch which is so good and varied you absolutely will not leave hungry!

The brewhouse is a great spot for happy hour, dinner, and brunch. Their beer selection is fairly large and diverse with at least ten well crafted house brews and a handful of tasty guest beers as well. Brewhouse beers include a variety of Belgians, wheats, pales, and usually saison, porter and stout. If you like spicy they have a habanero pilsner as well. Brewhouse has a huge menu. I usually stick to appetizers as they have good portions and fairly priced. The entrees tend to run a bit pricey. Nachos, grilled artichoke, oyster shooters, enchiladas, and gorgonzola dip are all excellent. Wings here don't do it for me, if you want your spicy fix give the cruel prawn a shot. Weekend brunch here is great with a large selection of fruit, waffle/pancake bar, French toast, Monte cristo sandwiches, and a made to order egg station with about thirty toppings. Bottomless mimosas will run you an extra $8 or so. They have booths, tables, bar seating and dog friendly patio (including a dog menu). Years ago the service was a little slow but they are totally dialed and friendly too. Happy hour runs about $4/pint with a handful of cheap menu items.

This was close to where I was staying: I didn't want a long walk into town. I had the meatloaf and a local beer: very tasty. It was a Thursday evening do the place was busy and very noisy, so fine if that's what you're after.

The internet picture gave the illusion of much more of an upscale atmosphere but as the name suggests it is a brew house. It was extremely loud even on a Tuesday night. The food was good (I had the Shepheard's pie and my wife had the Halibut) but it was nothing that made us say we had to come back. Same with the beer.... Better than commercial beer nut nothing that stood out from the crowd. Service and prices were also okay but nothing to write home about.
