Stayed overnight on a road trip. Location was great. On State Street where all the shops and attractions are. Hotel staff very helpful room card didn't work 3 times and each time changed without a problem. Water, fruit, sweets and coffee in the room and a variety of coffees in the reception. Beds comfortable. Ate in the restaurant lots of variety and food was excellent.

Stayed at Pepper Tree Inn for 1 night during our honeymoon road trip from San Francisco - LA - Las Vegas

On arrival we were greated by very friendly staff, and were pointed in the direction of a selection of free drinks and fruit, which are always available for guests.

On entering our room we were greated with a complimentary bottle of champagne (honeymoon present from the hotel), this was a very genorous gesture and one we were obviously delighted with!
Our room was very large and the bed was very comforable, we also had a nice balcony overlooking the pool area.

I would recommend this hotel to friends and would stay here in the future also!

Good Afternoon nj1511,

Congratulations on your recent marriage! We are so pleased we were part of your honeymoon road trip from San Francisco - LA - Las Vegas.

We are delighted to hear you were welcomed so nicely by our amazing staff. It is always our pleasure to surprise our honeymooners with a bottle of champagne.

In addition, we are pleased to hear you appreciated the large rooms and comfortable beds. We feature the Pepper Tree Special Recipe beds designed by Sleep EZ.

One of the best features of the hotel is the garden view balconies. We are so glad you enjoyed such a lovely way to relax.

We look forward to seeing both of you soon, maybe for your first anniversary??

Thank you.

Can walk across street to mall and restaurants. clean rms. Beautiful tile pool and jacuzzi. Very Clean. One side more for couples, other side families seemed to like. Has fire pit. Lovely tile on exterior. They washed our windsheild!!! Easy on/off freeway. Close to banks and quick drive to wharf and downtown. Rooms are very dark, good for sleep. Restaurant on sight. Very quiet at night. Can get a good night sleep and feel refreshed. Good place if traveling solo too. Good place for business and friends. It fits a variety of needs. Can park right outside door.

We stayed here for one night. Our rooms overlooked the fire pit, with the pool in the distance. They seemed very clean and spacious. Our air conditioning was a little noisy and the bed a little bumpy but the rooms seemed good value. Our children enjoyed the pool. We ate dinner at the neighbouring diner which was also good value.
Crabtree and Evelyn products in the bathroom were a nice addition!
Sadly we left my sons shark fin pool float, goggles and 2 swim suits in the bathroom. We realised about 4 hours after checking out and emailed the hotel hoping they could post them on,and we pay the postage but got no reply. Pool float unavailable in USA so have a sad memory of this hotel now!

We spent three nights here in September 2013 as part of a four resort California trip. This hotel has by far have us the most warmest welcome and looked genuinely pleased to see and help us. Our room was great, roomy and comfortable if a little tired in places. We were in the 1st floor so had a great secluded private balcony overlooking one of two pool areas. The on site Cade/restaurant was very good and the prices extremely reasonable and, if requested, will deliver to your room. Free hot drinks and fruit are always available in the lobby as in your room.

Across the road is a large shopping mall including Macy's and a very good supermarket. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. A bus into town takes about 20 mins dependent on the traffic and a cab 10 mins and about 15 dollars.

Overall this is a great relaxing and friendly hotel situated straight off the 101 and ideally suited for couples and families.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor (only two floors) if you want a bit more outdoor privacy.

My wife, daughter & I spend a weekend in Santa Barbara and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very clean and accomodating inn. The pool/cabana/grounds were very clean and well maintained. Our room was also very clean and well-convenient with good beds. The reception staff were very pleasant, the free coffee and loan library was a nice touch. The inn is centrally located near downtown and right accross the street was a very nice mall, including restaurants.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the pool/spa/cabana/grounds area.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of Sept as part of our California trip. The Pepper Tree is a very nice hotel with 2 pools, they are not huge but big enough for a swim and a cool off. Rooms were very nice quite large with comfy beds. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. The hotel is quite central but you need a bus outside to get into the main part of State Street. It takes about 20 mins. Very good shopping complex over the road which has a Macey's but the supermarket is very handy. Would stay at the Pepper Tree again if in Santa Barbara.
