“I would go somewhere else if I had a choice”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

This place is typical of a motel, nothing fancy and no extras. There were noises at night which seemed like coming from a nearby bar. Though the staff were friendly and provided prompt service, it was not worth paying the price. The price I paid was similar to that of other good hotels that I've stayed in Santa Barbara. I would not stay again here if I had a choice.

This was a lovely decorated room and the facilities are very well maintained. We noise level was low. Very helpful staff!!! The pool looked inviting though we did not use it. a great place to stay while checking out UCSB.

If we were staying longer, we would have chosen a more upscale place but this was more than o.k. for one night. Check in/out was fast and easy. Rooms were clean and had all the basic amenities (+ a coffee maker). Great location too. The only thing I didn't like was the bed. Super stiff! Also, this place seemed to be popular with younger folk (it's the price, I'm guessing). The walls are thin so when they came back from the bars and decided to blast techno music, it was a little annoying. I managed to (sort-of) sleep through it and not call management. Either way, I would recommend this place.

Room Tip: We stayed on a top floor which had vaulted ceilings. Definitely a nice feature in an "average&q...

On a coast drive we were looking for a cheap place to stay for one night (Monday). We looked at SEVERAL other hotels in this area before deciding on this one. We even looked at several rooms in this place before deciding on one. Mike at the front desk was very professional, kind, and accommodating. I don't remember which room number it was but it was an updated room with 2 queen beds. The beds were not that great (not awful either) and the pillows were alright. We slept well though and that's all that we cared about. There was some noise at night, but nothing ear plugs or head phones were unable to fix. No elevator. Loved Santa Barbara! Stay here if you are looking for a clean, cheap place to stay for a night or two. I think we paid $65.

We stayed here on our trip across the west coast and were really happy our stay here. Our check-in was super quick and we were surprised with how spacious and clean our room was. We had tea & Coffee facilities and a modern TV with free WIFI. The location is great if you don't mind a short walk to the centre of Santa Barbara, we decided to stay another night and returned on our way back from San Francisco for another as it was such a good value hotel.

We stayed for a night with my husband and little daughter. The room was spacious, the TV was free, the internet was free also but dosn`t work. There was a cafe maker and it was pleasure for us to have a coffee before living in the morning.

We stayed here for a night on our way down to San Diego. Check in was straight forward and quick. Room was ok, bigger than expected. There was a disgusting foul smell in the bathroom though, as if there was a sewage leak somewhere. When we first arrived the room smelt very strongly of bleach, I guess that was to cover up the sewage smell?
We were only there for one night though so can't complain too much. Breakfast not included.
