You get a clean room, great location for about $100 a night. I couldn't find lower in Santa Barbara as it's an expensive town to stay in. But, it was clean, great location and has a pool. It does not have a continental breakfast in the morning though and that was a disappointment.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the main floor on the side of the pool as you have a patio area available to yo...

I have stayed here several times because it's a nice walk down to State Street and a short cab ride home after going out and enjoying Santa Barbara.

The rooms are functionally clean, the king sized bed very comfortable. In most places you would expect a little more for the price.

Service last time was a little disappointing. I requested a bottle opener and they couldn't even accommodate such a small request.

Really plesent greeting after a long drive, given a complimentary upgrade and allowed to check on early as our room was ready.
Room was spacious, with a courtyard garden and had been recently decorated, so felt more modern than your traditional motel.
The room was clean, with plenty of lighting (makes a nice change) and had coffee making facilities. However, a fridge would have been nice and it's a shame the bathrooms hadn't been updated in the refurb. Also no complimentary breakfast is provided, like many other motels.
The location is good, you could walk into the main shopping area but would suggest you drive / cycle.
I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to friends and family. Good value for money.
Santa Barbara is the most beautiful place, can't wait to go back.

Good location and the chap in reception was very very helpful with our onward journey. The room was very basic and not as clean as you would hope for but the bedding was fresh and the towels were clean, had to laugh though that the complementary shampoos etc had already been used but the cleaner did not replace them!,,. Not that they were needed. Small pool area but cannot comment on the water as we did not try it. It all looked, just ok!

We stayed here because we had to be at the airport early the next morning. Great room-although the bathroom did have a dead spider in it with ants crawling on it. Makes me wonder about the maid service??? Motel required a $100 security hold on a credit card. This was not included in the original booking information-one lady walked out while I was checking in because of this. None of the rooms had refrigerators or microwaves. Like other reviews, we could hear the other guests all through the evening. The desk clerk was nice but somewhat frazzled. Not sure why as there weren't many in the lobby. For some odd reason, our room was set up as a handicap room. Never made such a request. The airport was close by and that was nice, but we would not stay here again.

My son and I spent 3 nights at the inn and enjoyed how fast we got anywhere in SB. The place is clean, boasts of a swimming pool and the rooms are spacious. On the downside we heard our neighbours quite well.

Stayed at this hotel with a few friends recently - all 30 something. I say this because there were a lot to college students/summer travellers here. No issues with them though.

Rooms are very basic and not the most clean they could be. Saw a few ants and a huge spider web on the sink, so whoever was supposed to be cleaning must have given this a turbo once-over!
There are very few services at the hotel but the location is convenient

Highly recommend the old fashioned diner across the street for breakfast!

Overall would not stay here again nor recommend
