Spent the day with Brian on a tour with family of 4 wineries. A really exceptional day out with delicious wines in beautiful settings. Brian was the perfect guide; well informed, a great choice of venues and an excellent rapport with both owners and visitors. Would strongly recommend.

We had the BEST time ever! My family of five adults wanted to celebrate a birthday, so we reserved a Sustainable Vine Wine Tour with Scott. There was a total of 9 of us on the wine tour -- the other two couples were very nice and great company.

Scott picks up from just about anywhere in Santa Barbara, then takes the entire group to Santa Ynez. What a treat to visit places that you normally would not! Scott not only chauffeurs you to wineries, he tells you all about the wine, the grapes, the geography, the soil, and more. He's very passionate and knowledgeable.

We visited four unique places. Scott chooses places based on the types of wine you prefer. Wine tasting and a gourmet picnic lunch (fresh sandwich or salad) are included in the price.

Beckman Vineyards does a step more than "organic" farming. They do "biodynamic" farming (read about it from their web site). Very impressive! Nice place. We had our flight of wines on a patio overlooking a pond, a beautiful weeping willow, and the vineyards. They offer a great price on their Wine Club!

Demetria Estate "believes that low yields, sustainable and biodynamic farming practices, and gentle winemaking produces wines of exceptional quality." While the public can visit, you must first make a reservation. Tasting was outside in beautiful weather, where any wine that needed to be dumped (not much) went over the ledge of the patio wall onto a hillside. We had our picnic lunch here, under umbrellas. After lunch, Scott took us on a tour of how the wine is made, showing us the machinery and all the barrels! Scott poured the wines, and even let us taste a Rose that was not on the wine tasting list! I'm pretty sure we all bought some of this Rose! Before we left the estate, Scott pulled over at the vineyard and we got to taste grapes off the vine, as well as use our cameras for those "Kodak moments"!

Cimarone Wines & 3CV in Los Olivos is one of 47 tasting rooms in town! Cute place! Their Sauvignon Blanc was good! All of their fruit comes from 3CV (Three Creek Vineyard), and of course, they use biodynamic farming.

Dragonette Cellars, where by appointment, we had a private wine tasting at the warehouse! What fun! We met one of the owners and were treated to a flight of eight or nine wines! Each one was great and got better on the next round! Love their labels, but not as much as their wine!

We could not decide which place we enjoyed the most! At the end of the day, Scott returned to Santa Barbara (around 5:00pm-ish), dropping off wherever we wanted to go -- one couple was dropped off at a restaurant, another couple went back to their hotel, and we walked to our dinner reservations after putting our purchases at the car -- we purposely parked at a public parking lot so we would not have to drive to dinner. (Note: None of us had wine at dinner that night -- we were "wined" out!) Scott made sure we had an exceptional day. I highly recommend Sustainable Vine Wine Tours!

Wine making is an art. I appreciate the wine making process after a tour with Bryan. He can speak in plain language for the novices. We enjoyed the people on our tour as well as the friendly wine makers we met either at their vineyard or tasting room. The wines were delicious and the countryside was gorgeous. Also, the touring vehicle was incredibly comfortable.

Everything about this wine tour was phenomenal. The booking process was a breeze -- Bryan responded to phone calls and emails right away, and when the number in our group changed at the last minute, he accommodated us with no issues. There ended up being 8 of us, so he arranged for us to have a van all to ourselves. And HE was our tour guide! He picked us up from the hotel right and took us to four spectacular wineries. He has asked us to send him our wine preferences before the trip, so I felt like the tour was really tailored to us. The selection was varied enough to give us a real feel for the valley, and his excellent relationships with the winemakers make for very personalized . Ask him about his experience in the business, too. He's done a little of everything! We loved talking to the different wine makers, asking lots of questions, and tasting such different wines. At one point he even pulled over so we could walk through some vines, taste some grapes, and even check the brix levels of a few! Each of the wineries was so generous, as well. We visited four wineries (Dragonette, Demetria, Beckman, and Cimarone) and had an amazing time at each. We never felt rushed (except that we got too chatty with Demetria so we had to make sure we got to Beckman before the closed! Our fault entirely ;-) The very reasonable price of Sustainable Vine is absolutely worth every penny and more. We not only tasted incredible wine, but we learned so much and gained a real appreciation for the valley and the art of winemaking. And the picnic lunch was TERRIFIC! We ate at a beautiful table at Demetria, overlooking the vineyard-covered hillsides. Heaven. I would go back in a heartbeat and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Well done, Sustainable Vine. And thank you Bryan!
