“Very lovely place, very friendly with great service”

For us, Agave Inn offered everything we needed for our stay in Santa Barbara: Parking is offered on their own parking space or next door. The rooms are very clean, nice, comfortable and lovingly decorated. You can start your day with a small breakfast or try out some of the recommendations given. There are also very nice restaurants nearby. We tested a few and all turned out great. We experienced exceptionally great service and definitely will stay there again. Thanks.

Pros: Spotless clean rooms. Nice mattress and flat screen tv. Can park right at your front door most of the time. Management was very pleasant and easy to work with. Room is nicely decorated and maximum use is made of every inch. Modernized and redecorated. Price is right! Great location near places to walk to eat and bar where 'locals' hang out.

Cons: Too small for an extended stay. The size of the motel room was my only complaint. If you don't mind a small room or if only one person is staying, it would be perfect.

Room Tip: Size of the room was my single complaint.

Trip Advisor reviews were helpful in finding this convenient budget motel with bright, 'hip' furniture, and generous sized room for my husband daughter and myself. We didn't use the cooking facilities but everything was very clean and I loved the mountain view from our windows. The very friendly Receptionist's tip about the Indonesian inspired restaurant further down State St run by the hotel owners' son, a qualified chef was great, we enjoyed brilliant food and great service. Our room was up an external flight of stairs so if you a cannot carry a heavy suitcase ask for a ground floor room.

Let's face it: Santa Barbara is ridiculously expensive. It's hard to find any kind of a "deal" on State Street, and I was pretty discouraged by the prices. However, Agave Inn boasted decent rates, and the reviews were wonderful. I hate to use a tacky phrase like "bang for your buck", but seriously. This place has it. First off, the design and decor are just great. There's clearly a lot of thought put into the style of this place, as the colors and details are so warm and vibrant. This alone makes Agave Inn feel special as compared to other motels. Additionally, the service was excellent. At check in we were offered a bottle of wine for our anniversary! Wow! I also have to add that the location of the Agave Inn really made this place a winner- you're right across the street from Gelson's, less than five minutes from State Street proper, and you're also seconds away from BevMo! Perfect location, adorable room, and familial service. Love it!

I like a good deal, and this was it!, what a cute place, small cozy, but very basic, but that is just what the doctor ordered.
we spent all our time out of the motel, down at the beach, marina, so no need for any 5 star places. But in allot of ways this hotel was a 5 star. It was clean, great staff, they went out of thier way to keep everyone happy, bed was comfortable, AC worked well, shower was great, and lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. I just loved the surroundings, decor, design, the people, it was a great time. I would revisit this motel, when I return to SB. And no need for a fitness center, as we walked to the beach and downtown every day!

This is a cute but basic motel. It kind of has a boutique hotel feel and design. The price was great compared to other places in Santa Barbara, possibly since it's located outside of downtown and away from the water. However there are quite a few restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the motel. Bed was comfortable, free WiFi, continental breakfast included, and complimentary parking were great amenities considering the price. Great value.
