Santa Clara mission is unique. It's on the grounds of Santa Clara University, is one of the few named for a woman, the church is in its 7th iteration (moved several times and burned down in the 1920s) and is a peaceful place in the middle of the hustle-and-bustle of the heat of the tech universe.
Martín and I visited on a Thursday and there were few people there. We had it to ourselves and enjoyed the peacefulness as we enjoyed the shrines and altars there.
One of the other neat things here is that it contains a relic of Father Serra, one of the very few we've discovered on our Missions tour.
