The lamb shank was delicious and tender, it truly simply fell away from the bone. It was served with rice and some sort of canned vegetable medley that had a good flavor but had that institutional size can of green beans taste and texture. The salad was very good, with feta cheese and a tart vinegar house dressing. Unfortunately there was no busboy and the waitresses were unable to serve and clean the tables so there was always a line at the door and empty tables that were dirty. It is my experience that good service is hard to find in Santa Cruz and I didn't find it at Vasili's where the servers seemed disorganized and stressed out.
