I have been coming to this El Torito for years and I have to say it's one of the better ones. They are pretty consistent with their food and their signature cadillac margaritas are delicious.

I had nachos as an appetizer. I had the Pedro fajita special. The nacho could have more cheese, but otherwise it tasted good. The pedro special included chicken and beef fajita with a cheese enchilada, and pinto beans. The salsa that came with salty chips was awesome. Make sure you have some water with that! The food was great. However the service was slow and the waitress didn't bring my guest water & when she finally came back around, we asked for it. Instead of saying let me get it. She told my guest "you asked for a menu not water". Sad. Why a person not order nothing to drink. Then I specifically said I wanted my main course to come later. Instead my guest main dish came with the appetizer. Wow. The appetizer was big enough for two. Why would anyone do that? I had to send my guest food back. I actually ran out of water before I got more. That should happen either. So be prepared for bad service.

This chain resturant located off the beaten track is a hidden jem for Sunday Brunch. The food was varied and bountiful. The resturant was not crowded. There was no waiting, which for a Sunday Brunch in LA worth eating is unheard of. From the homemade tortillas to the generous pour on the champagne, it was worth every penny and then some.
