We stayed here during a road trip down the Californian Coast. The decor in the hotel is great and the hotel was kept very clean. The hotel lobby was always a buzz of activity (no doubt due to the fact WiFi is free in the lobby but very expensive in rooms). Although not used the pool area always seemed very busy and quite small for such a large hotel which is so close to the beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - Hugo Correa (Concierge) especially was excellent at recommending activities, helping us book bus tours of LA and giving directions to Universal Studios. The breakfast at the lobby bar was good but we never tried the full breakfast in the restaurant. The rooms were extremely nicely done-up and were very clean. Negatives include having to pay for expensive valet parking as the very limited self parking was full and the fact that during our whole stay one of two lifts (elevators) was broken leading to queues and long waits for the remaining lift. Overall however this is a good hotel with good rooms and service but with potential improvements to be made.More
