This Hotel in California is the greatest place to visit!
We have been staying here for over 10 years now, every year once or twice and the service is excellent, the staff is very very friendly, the service is great and the food is great (the breakfast ist unbelievable good!!! try the eggs benedict and you will know why......)
Just a great place to stay where you instantly feel at home on one of nicest locations in Los Angeles near the sea and the best shoppingcenters are nearby.
It cannot get any better!!!

We stayed at The Georgian five years ago, and sadly have seen some decline in the property, with obvious maintenance issues; sticky, paint chipped hand rails leading to the guest elevators, and then, more sticky hand rails from the first-second floors. Yuck! It made us worried that the behind the scenes conditions were worse. The room was spacious, and clean, no view (side of a building) and quite dark, but we paid an entry level price. I believe it is due for a take over by a more professional management group. Restaurant staff is friendly and they try, but the food is way below par, and a missed opportunity considering the veranda seating and ocean view, and the cool retro feel to the property. Our waitress announced that the coffee was old and stale, and if we didn't like it, she wouldn't charge us... and Lipton was the tea that was served.... which meant, another trip around the corner to Coffee Bean. Too bad, it could have been great.

Room Tip: Higher floor, where the views are great.

Booked the Georgian based mostly on reviews on TA, and it seemed a good balance of price and service, and although we only stayed one night, it became the most expensive hotel (based on per-night price) in our 3 week long road trip around California, but here I think you're paying for location which, to be fair, wasn't really high on our list of priorities.

We booked under their "book and dream" package which included valet parking (which was very well run and need I say essential in this part of town).

It's a lovely art-deco hotel which no doubt would have been THE place to stay in the thirties, and although they've kept the service levels and decor levels in public areas, some of the corridors and rooms look a bit shabby upon closer inspection, but still a comfortable and well run hotel.

We didn't eat in the restaurant and in fact found that there weren't many obvious places to eat in the area around the hotel, but we found somewhere called Buco di Beppo or something which was pretty good Italian food round the corner.

Overall, bags of character and very comfortable, but for the price, the 4 stars have become 3.

This hotel is lovely and the location is great. The staff is very high service, professional and friendly. Just right for easy access to Santa Monica, L.A. or Malibu. Awesome value, without sacrificing elegance or ambiance.

Back to The Georgian Hotel Santa Monica for a few nites quick getaway in the US Fall season.

Once again, for me, this hotel doesn't disappoint. OK, so it's not a new, cutting edge place, but the art deco building has a great old-world charm.

A perfect position on Ocean Ave right across from the beachfront park, close to Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade and all the other Santa Monica local attractions, restaurants etc.

There's a Tourist Info stand across the street and buss stops really close to the hotel - $1.50 US from Santa Monica to Union Station (end of the line) - great value.

We stayed in an ocean view suite with a great view of, well, the ocean and the pier (always nice to look at at night with all it's lights happening).

The bedroom + bathroom + large living room suite has a nice, welcoming feel, good air-con, ceiling fans, nice older-style furnishings, 2 x Flat screen TV's (with about 60 channels), good wi-fi and all the usual hotel room amenities. Rooms are serviced quickly and pretty early (in my experience) and they do a turn-down service in the evening with bedside chocolates.

I really like the beds in this hotel (king sized, firm mattress) and always get a good nights sleep here.

The staff are always welcoming, really friendly and seem to be having a good time working there.

I've stayed here several times and never been disappointed.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra and get an ocean view.

We were very pleased with our choice of The Georgian Hotel for our first two nights in California. It is a lovely Art Deco hotel right on Santa Monica beach. The room was a good size and the decor pleasant. The staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful.
It has a lovely balcony at the front where we enjoyed our complimentary welcome drink and is where they serve breakfast.
The valet parking was very efficient and trouble free.
I would definitely return here when I return to LA.

We enjoyed a quick, one night stay at the Georgian Hotel. The hotel location is great, directly across the street from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. The best thing about the hotel is the charm. From the old elevators (that are totally functional) to the retro bathrooms, this place is really a treat. Some rooms have nice ocean views... ours did not but we didn't book it that way. Parking is valet only (unless you are willing to spend a lot of time looking for a spot on your own. I think daily rate for parking is roughly $20... definitely check that before booking and consider a package that includes parking. Front desk staff, bell people, and housekeeping were all very nice and helpful.
