Great hotel, staff were very helpful, rooms were not huge but were clean and very comfortable with heating, Air Con and loads of TV stations; not that you need them because the Big Blue Bus stops right outside and takes you to either Santa Monica or LA for a dollar one way.
The hotel location is well out of Santa Monica but located on a quiet 'main' street, a very cost effective option compared to LA and Santa Monica/Venice hotels.
A good continental breakfast was provided with the usual temptations along with various biscuits left out for throughout the day. Vending and ice machines are also available.
Great stay have no issues at all with this place would stay here again.

We wanted to stay close to the beach but not willing to spend $300+/room for a room by the beach since we were only going to be there for 1 day and there were 6 of us. This hotel was 10-15 minutes drive from the beach. You could take Pico Blvd all the way down. The hotel is built motel style and consists of 3 buildings along with 3 parking lots. We were in the 2nd building, so on both sides of the room, we were facing the parking lot. This helped with noise, as I read from many reviews that the street side is loud. No pool, but who needs a pool when the beach is right there. Check in was super fast. There were two ladies manning the lobby when I was checking in, and they were both nice and helpful. Parking was difficult, and this is why I didn't give this hotel 5 stars. The parking is really tight. It's literally head in first. Pico is an extremely busy street, so I did not enjoy backing out onto that street. It seem everyone who stayed at the hotel the night we stayed had SUVs. Although you are given a parking permit, parking is very limited. We ended up loosing our spot coming back from dinner. You can't park on the street at night, and it's metered during the day. The night staff did however help us with parking at night. The downside, the additional parking was 1.5 block over in the Trader Joe's lot, and we had to park in the back far end of the lot. Doesn't make it fun or safe walking back to the hotel at 2 in the morning. That particular night, there were two bums standing outside of our building talking really loud. Although they weren't bothering us, it was scary since I'm a female. The night hotel guy who worked there, was helpful and shooed them away. So no problems after that. Breakfast is located in a room next to the lobby in the first building and can only be accessed through the lobby. Typical complimentary breakfast, nothing big. I had a pancake, and bagel. We got 2 rooms, 2 queen beds in each room. I was very satisfied with the rooms. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the room, but there was plenty of space for 4 adults per room. There's also a little kitchen area towards the back of the room that has a small sink, microwave, refrigerator, and a small table and two chairs. Oh, coffee maker included as well. Bathroom was big enough. However, the tub is deceiving. The height of the tub is low, however when you get in it, the tub feels like it's lower than the floor. At least, for me, that was the way it felt. No fan in bathroom, so we kept the bathroom window open all night for ventilation. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this hotel. Definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to stay near the beach but cannot afford $300+ a night per room.

Room Tip: If you don't mind stairs, request for a room on the 2nd floor and away from the street. Much qu...

The Santa Monica travelogue is convenient for Santa Monica as the 7 and R7 buses go straight past outside and for $1 take you straight to the pier. There is a very good Mexican restaurant nearby.

The hotel itself is clean and feels safe I with its secure gates. There is plenty of parking ans a decent spread continental breakfast is included.

The hotel was nice but a little far from the the sights in Santa Monica. It was about a 10-15 minute drive to the Santa Monica Pier (traffic is always bad on the freeways).
The hotel is clean and looks recently updated. Breakfast was standard fare, nothing special but it was nice for a free breakfast. Parking lots are small!!!! It was free parking but if you get back to the hotel too late, you might be stuck on the street.
FYI: no pool. But overall we had a good one-night stay.

We stayed at the Travelodge for 3 nights and were extremely pleased with the rooms, service and price. Rooms were clean and newly renovated with wood floors and granite counter tops. Free breakfast was good. Location was great. Many hotels in the area charge for parking or require street parking. Parking spaces were compact but not an inconvenience, in my opinion. There is a good sized courtyard with two gas barbecues and picnic tables. Grounds and landscaping are well maintained. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Santa Monica area.

We needed a low cost place for the night but wished we were staying longer. From the greeting and friendly help by the two women on the front desk to the secure gate and pleasant check out we felt the staff were really trying.

Would stay again

Room Tip: Ask for one of the rooms behind the gate
