Had a wonderful business meeting at Vintners----excellent meeting space & outdoor area for F&B. Service was terrific & friendly too. Really enjoyed the variety of healthy snacks during breaks.

We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

Thank you so much, it's nice to hear from a business traveler. Our Sales Staff and F&B department work really hard at providing the best meeting space and food for our business (and social) events. We really appreciate hearing your comments. Hope you'll have the opportunity to visit us again. Sue

We stayed at the Vintners Inn the first year they opened, moved to the east coast and 30 years later we visited again. It was and is still a great stay. Rooms are really lovely with a private patio area. The Vineyard walking trail was a great start every morning. Very accommodating staff.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room facing the vineyard. Quite comfortable and private. Although the hotel...

Happened on the Vintner's Inn by chance and we were so glad we had!! Customer service was obviously a top priority. Found the grounds beautiful and well-maintained. Our room, with fireplace, was very comfortable even if the balcony was a tad small. Perfect location to make day trips and the staff were very helpful in planning those and making reservations. The John Ash restaurant is superb as is the bar. You almost don't need to leave for anything! A lovely walking trail around the contiguous vineyards for a morning walk or an evening stroll. Well, our 4 days were just simply too short a stay! Hope to return ...

Room Tip: If you have problems with stairs, be sure to stipulate a ground floor room -- there are no elevators...

The grounds are devine, from the beautiful flowers to the surrounding vineyard. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. John Ash restaurant on the grounds is a step above, even the burger we had in the bar was top notch. Our only gripe was, they charge alot for a a place with no real amenities, no pool, no real workout room, they have a tiny room with a couple of machines and lowest weight was 15 pounds, they serve great food, need somewhere to compenstate for the fun!

Room Tip: Upstairs you will get high ceilings

What a delightful hotel! The Vintners Inn is a wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds. There are 3 buildings which house the hotel rooms - beautifully maintained and so very clean and quiet! Our room had a fireplace and a charming balcony overlooking the gardens, where we shared a bottle of complimentary wine which was waiting for us in our room! The main lobby and breakfast room were in a separate building and the John Ash restaurant and Front Room Bar were located in a separate building, which kept the sleeping/room areas private and quiet. The grounds were so pretty with gardens and fountains and the vineyards just behind. A really cool, elegant and upscale hotel. We happened on a deal through Travelzoo, which put together our hotel stay with two wine tours at nearby wineries and included a food voucher and also a breakfast deal. Particularly the Medlock Ames Winery tour to the ranch/vineyards was excellent! Highly recommend a stay at the Vintners Inn if visiting the Sonoma County wine area!

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room if stairs are of concern - did not notice elevators in our room; however...

As you drive up you may be concerned as it appears that it is across the street from a huge electric company substation and not a very attractive area. This disappears once you get through the front gate and you are transported to a tuscan style resort. We had a second floor room in building 300. It had a fireplace (electric), sofa and two nice chairs, and a balcony with two chairs and a small table. The room was very large with a cathedral ceiling. Jacuzzi tub (not used). Fridge with mini bar and some room for our own stuff too. Complementary 1/2 bottle of Fume Blanc was a nice touch and very tasty to us. There is a nice walking/jogging trail that is about 1.5 miles from the 300 building total loop. You walk around the vineyards and it is really very nice and relaxing with lots of birds and the odors of a farm everywhere. The room was incredibly quiet, no noise from outside could be heard at all in our room. The bed was firm and comfortable, although the sheets were a bit rougher than I'm used to. We had breakfast and it was excellent. They didn't get our order right and they took care of it very professionally and made us very comfortable. Great coffee/tea service downstairs in each building in the morning. A full ice machine downstairs in each building too. You do seem to have to handle your own bags and the 2nd floor rooms have no elevator so if that is an issue think about a ground floor room. The grounds are beautiful, so much so that the pictures don't do it justice. Fountains, flowers, and really nice walking paths everywhere. We did eat dinner at the on site restaurant and bar "John Ash & Co.", which is very convenient and and good but expensive. See my review on the John Ash for more on that.

Room Tip: 2nd floor has a nice balcony and fireplace are nice and may be optional.

My husband and I spent three lovely nights surrounded by grapevines at this inn. The upstairs vaulted king room with fireplace was quite spacious and well appointed. The small balcony was perfect for sharing a bottle of wine. Though meticulously clean, the bathroom needed a bit of updating and the entire room has too much wallpaper. If you are a bathtub person, you will love it, however, as it is huge…but we are spacious shower people. Though very close to 101 for quick on and off access, this inn is delightfully quiet. The onsite restaurant, John Ash and Co was simply superb!!! All in all, a wonderful experience in Sonoma Wine Country. We will be back for sure!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the upstairs vaulted fireplace room and sit out on your own balcony overlooking th...
