Owner description: "Peanuts" devotees won't be disappointed in the museum that memorializes the work of cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, who made Santa Rosa his adopted hometown. The museum features an early mural of Charlie Brown and Snoopy, a wood relief sculpture of Snoopy showing the changes in the famed cartoon dog's appearance over the years and Schulz's actual work studio.

“A Fun Walk Down Memory Lane”

This museum is a fun place to visit with lots of cartoons to bring back memories. Interesting to remember how much Mr Schultz made us look at ourselves regarding so many issues. The gift shop and ice rink across the street are also well worth a visit. great stop.

“Must see if you are a Peanuts fan!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

I had been looking forward to visiting this museum for quite some time. No detail was left out and there is so much to see when visiting the museum. They have an area for viewing Peanuts video, many wonderful statues (inside and outside) and an awesome mural made up of Peanuts strips. The history of Charles Schulz and Peanuts is covered thoroughly and is very interesting. There is a small gift shop in the museum, but there is also a much bigger separate gift shop on the property.

“Positve Energy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

We visited the Charles M. Schulz Museum because we are huge fans of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. We got to see original cartoon illustrations, memorabilia and much more! This was a fun stop and worth the hour it took to tour the museum.

Wasn't overpriced and the gift shop was cute!

“Happiness is a Warm Puppy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Great small museum. Charlie Brown movies every half hour or so. If you are interested in cartooning some great examples in the museum. Not to mention the Warm Puppy Cafe across the street with hockey rink-side seating, a favorite spot of Charles Schulz.

“Laugh Out Loud Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014 via mobile

I spent almost as much time enjoying the outside attractions as I did inside! Outside there is a Snoopy labyrinth, a cool holographic birdbath, and sunlight-projecting rainbows drinking faucets; plus, the kite eating tree!

Inside the comic panels on display made me laugh out loud. The current exhibit on social commentary in Peanuts strips was fascinating, including the introduction of Franklin and a voice for women in sports. Upstairs Charles Schulz's workspace has been recreated, and there are awards on display, as well as metal plates that were used to print the strips in the newspaper.

Different videos play in the theater near the entrance, so while the museum itself is small, you do get a sense of Charles' work and what he gave to the world, and can end up spending a few hours of your day there.

Across the street is the ice rink, Wrm Puppy Cafe, and store and gallery that displays Snoopy memorabilia from around the world.
