“Cool Hike To Upper Lake Along With Family Fun at the Lower Lakes”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

I live near this park and I have not spent much time here. One day I had a friend tell me about a day hike and it sounded like fun so we did it and what a seuprise!! We went to uppur lake the hike begins at the back parking lot and ends at a lake 3
.5 miles in... is starts out going up hill through some Redood trees and ferns. Then you comeupon some beutiful grass lands and you end up a s cute little lake there was no one around any where. The hike was easy and diverse. I loved it I have done it a couple times since. The only thing that was not verry cool was the mountain bikers riding fast and reckless comeing back on a couple trails but other than that it was great. Some people do it on hourse back and that would be fun also.

If you have kids the two lakes below offer great entertainment. The middle lake has swimming with Lifeguards along with a restaurant. The lowe lake has boat rentals fishing a petting zoo, carosel, playground tennis courts baseball diamond, train, poney rides and a huge playground along with picnic tables and barbeques..... I mean they have it all check it out something for everyone....

“Beautiful Hiking - Spring Creek Trail to Rough-Go Trail”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

These are moderate multi-use trails (hikers, runners, mountain bikers, equestrian). From Park Trail Drive, we started at Spring Creek Trail. This is a very moderate trail, not too steep or rocky. The start is on a beautifully groomed trail through some oak trees, and as you venture on you will eventually be in an almost medieval looking shaded area through the creek. Stunning beauty. Eventually you reach Lake Ilsanjo where there are a couple of picnic tables (no bathrooms). From there we veered left to catch the Rough-Go Trail. The views of open meadows are spectacular. I believe this entire loop was approximately 3.1 miles. We encountered equestrians and many mountain bikers. ** Important to note - no bathroom facilities near or on the trails.

Later we drove over to the nearest WholeFood Market, grabbed a couple of their sandwiches named after the park "The Annadel" "The Spring Lake" and a bottle of Domaine Carneros champagne, and enjoyed a delicious lunch back at Annadel Park ($7 parking fee) at a nice shady spot near Spring Lake. Bathroom facilities nearby.

Very enjoyable Sunday outing that would be suitable for families of all ages. The hike overall was very moderate (on the easy side for avid hikers).

“A great place to spend the afternoon”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

The park is literally just outside of Santa Rosa. The park is large enough that the trails are not crowded. My wife and I hiked but I can tell it is also an awesome place to ride mountain bikes. Just be sure to wear you helmet if you are on a bicycle.

“Great for hiking, biking and horses”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

I hike here at least once a week and there are many trails and entrances. It is good to get a map before starting off. The trails a rocky, so be prepared for this. Lots of being in the woods and other areas have good vistas.

“Mountain Bike Heaven”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

Great trails for biking and hiking. Pack some water and food in case you are new to the area. You can get "turned around" very easily on some of the lesser used trails.
