Nice walk on a level area. You get to see nature and quiet in an easy several mile round trip! Great planning by those who designed this.

As a plein air painter I find the Laguna de Santa Rosa a wonderful place to get away from the day to day activities and just relax and paint by the hour. But, it you don't paint, it is a great place to hike. There are some paved trails too. It is spectacular in the mornings, with birds and wildlife with fog often hanging as low as the leaves on the trees. The sunsets in the laguna are often beyond description. Well worth a walk, a slow stroll, a run, or a lunch along the water's edge.

I took a stroll through the Laguna de Santa Rosa trail off of Highway 12 just east of Sebastopol with friends and leashed dogs. A great hike! The trail is clear, the views of the grapevines and oaks are typical Sonoma County vistas. We hiked the mile and a half or so to the Occidental Rd entrance and back. It took and hour and was just a lovely stroll on a beautiful summer evening here in Wine Country.
