“Could sit by that fire very night!”

We bought a Living Social deal for a 2 night stay here including credit at the hotel restaurant - for a price that I would have considered paying for 1 nights accommodation.

Our room was huge, furnishings weren't the most modern. Unfortunately, they do charge for wifi access. The best part of the hotel is the location and the bonfire in the courtyard. We curled up there both nights until the guard came by to shut it down.

Just behind the vistitor centre (a block away) is a great little coffee shop. We enjoyed breakfast there both mornings. Jacksons restaurant is a couple blocks away; has a great trendy atmosphere and great foor. We were also able to walk past the mall to the downtown core and grab drinks a couple brew pubs.

But do not discount the hotel restaurant; aside from being empty we had a near perfect dinner. We went all out and were pleasantly surprised when the bill came, felt like too good of a deal.

A clean, well maintained, professionally staffed and quiet from outside noise hotel. The only 2 reasons for the 3 rating versus a higher rating are room rate pricing and that internet access is an extra $10/day. Please make sure you find a great internet deal and then book it.

It is very convenient to both 101 and access to back roads for winery tours. While Railroad Square is across the street there is very little to recommend venturing to it. Thus limiting your dining choices if you intend to walk. Though the Brassiere associated with the Hyatt is quite good.

Stayed there with brother and sister-in-law while taking the opportunity to do some wine tasting and also good restaurants in Sonoma valley.

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Have stayed here about once a year for the last several years for a group weekend trip. Always friendly staff, always great accommodations. Cool outdoor firepit for gatherings. Easy walk to local eateries, shopping and more. Great "base" if wine tasting locally.
I've never contracted anything (lice, bedbugs or otherwise) from this hotel.

My husband & I just returned from a great weekend at the Vineyard Creek. It is perfect place to base yourselves out of for a major wine tour. Most wineries are 15- 20 minutes away. Walking distance to great little boutique restaurants too. Shane and Robert at the front desk were very accommodating!
Bed was a bit uncomfortable but suite was large and roomy ! Bathroom was very large!

This is a good place to stay if you want to do a little wine tasting. Santa Rosa is in the middle of Sonoma county so it keeps you close to all the vineyards around the county. It is also next to route 101 and 12 so you can get going fairly quickly. There are also a number of good places to eat within walking distance. The fire pit is a nice feature.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our first trip without our 1 year old. Let me start with the things we liked about the hotel: great location (located right next to the freeway, shopping and restaurants right across the street and more shopping and restaurants just a few miles away); the staff was very friendly (as most people have said, Ramon, the concierge was a great help); the gym and sauna were excellent; great restaurant attached to the hotel; the whirlpool tub in our room was awesome. The only real complaint we had was the bed was way too hard. My husband and I both woke up in pain each morning (we're in our early 30s). I wouldn't stay here again just for that reason.

I believe this hotel has a lot of business meetings/events, so if you're looking for a quiet hotel, this probably isn't the place. The Friday we stayed there, there was a large conference taking place, and that night they had a big Valentine's event in the ballroom. We could hear the noise from our room at night, but it wasn't so loud that we were bothered by it.

Overall we had a great experience, and would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind sleeping on a very firm bed.

Room Tip: We had a room right next to the maids' linen closet and were awakened by a loud noise around 7 a...
