we stayed for 4 nights in this excellent hotel. Check in very professional explained I was diabetic and fridge was immediately brought to room in order for me to store my insulin. Room very comfy overlooking quiet courtyard. Disappointed to find internet was chargable by the day. Even though hotel nxt to freeway we didnt hear or was disturbed in any way by the noise. Pool was large with plenty of towels for guests. Enjoyed this hotel very much.

This was our second trip to the wine country. Last year, we stayed in Napa at a Best Western property. Since we didn't get to see Sonoma last year, we wanted to stay in the heart of the valley. This property was perfect for our needs (and we stayed here for three nights). This is a very modern hotel, located just a few minutes from the 101. There are dozens of restaurants within a five minute walk of the property. Our room was big enough for the four of us (two adults and two pre-teens). The pool was a hit with the kids after a long day of the adults dragging them along to the vineyards.

We sampled the happy hour menu at the hotel restaurant and ended up having dinner there as well. The service was a bit slow, but the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Overall, very impressed with the resort. However, a high end resort such as this one should offer complimentary wireless access....

We stayed while touring the Sonoma & Napa valleys (April 2011). This property is average but if a bit more maintenance was spent it could be a nice place to stay.

Pros
- Close to restaurants and bars in Santa Rosa. Also close to the freeway
- Lobby area is nice. It has a bar, hardwood floors and a large fireplace
- Property is quiet
- Staff was friendly
- ample parking onsite

Cons
- Rooms don't fit the wonderful decor of the lobby (feel like you've been given the bait & hook). They are large but the furniture is old and worn. We didn't have a headboard!

Service was very prompt on arrival and we were in our room in no time at all. The room size was large and cleanliness was to a high standard. As ever with big chain hotels nothing is free and Internet cost $9.99 for 24hrs. Noise was never a problem throughout the night and checkout was again speedy.

Stayed 1 night in a double with king size bed. Very comfortable room - very clean hotel. Good location for exploring Santa Rosa - which we both felt was just as pleasant as Petalouma down the road.
Watch out for Wifi-charges - $9.95 for 24 hours - rip-off which I'd be amazed anybody uses at those prices.

We stayed three nights at the Vineyard Creek. in July, 2012. The hotel has a general run down look, with common areas needing new paint, carpets, fixtures, etc. There are absolutely no extras - expect to pay for morning coffee, for example.

The room was just okay and extremely overpriced at over $300 per night. And it had the distinct smell of dog pee. To be fair, when called, housekeeping did spray something to try to eliminate the smell. It worked somewhat.

One extreme bright spot is the spa, which is exceptional. We had a number of treatments, all of which we were very happy with.

We enjoyed our stay over the Labor Day holiday weekend here. The rooms were reasonably spaceous, recently renovated and had ample amenities (although no refrigerator). The staff was cheerful, and the restaurant had a nice breakfast. The location couldn't be beat, as it is right off the 101, within walking disctance of the Railroad District with its coffee shops and restaurants and no more than 10-15 minutes driving distance from many Sonoma area wineries..
