“Overpriced but basic and clean”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Stayed here last weekend with a few friends. This motel is overpriced but then again all motels and hotels in this area are overpriced!. Paid $135 for a one night stay for two people. Rooms were basic but clean. Motel is about 5-10 minutes drive away from downtown. They had a breakfast with packaged danish pastries, coffee and orange juice.

We stayed here twice and both times enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a typical motor hotel setup, but the rooms are large, comfortably furnished, and very clean. Also it is very quiet.

I was in Santa Rosa on some business and stayed at this motel. Very basic rooms, no frills, Motel 6-ish in my opinion. Got my reservation on Expedia. Easy check in, check out. The manager wasn't the most friendly, but I wasn't there to make friends with him, just give me my keys. No problems, but clearly an older property. Doubt I'll be back.

A typical old-style basic motel at twice the price of the usual budget motels. No real issues other than the value. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance and the location is good.

We spent an uneventful night at this location, which was simply a place to rest our heads after attending an event in the area. This facility is a very old motel, and it certainly looks and feels it. We had no problems, but the cost seems quite high for the facility. However, I gather that Santa Rosa is an expensive place to stay, but I'm still trying to figure out why. Oh, and it's been awhile since I have stayed at a facility without a coffee maker in the room.

We arrived at about 9:30 on a Sunday evening with a reservation, The owner/manager acted like he was doing us a favor allowing us to register. The room was clean but frigid. The heater was turned off. It took a while to figure out how to turn it on because there were no instructions. There was nothing telling us about the wifi password and no way to call the front desk. After walking across the parking lot the owner/manager acted like he was doing me a big favor by giving me the password. Someone needs to tell this guy what customer service is all about. We'll stay somewhere else next time. So should you.

Room Tip: Rent a room at a different motel.

If you are looking for budget lodging in this pricy area, this is it. It is adequate as a place to sleep for the night after touring, travelling, etc. This is a basic, old-school one story motor lodge. Nothing about it -the service, the furnishings, the cleanliness is great, but it is all adequate for a short stay. The location seems a little sketchy, but it is centrally located in Santa Rosa. I was contemplating giving it 3 stars, but for the value in this area, it is probably closer to 4 stars.
