“Nice place, great location.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2012

If you plan on walking downtown this hotel was so close! We walked everywhere. I do feel the price was high for the quality but they were clean rooms. No complimentary breakfast but there is a Starbucks Bistro within the hotel. I would probably stay here again for location but I may try to find a better deal.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Our location is ideal for those guests who wish to walk to dinner, antique stores, the mall, or any other wonderful options that our downtown has to offer. I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Bistro, which is available for breakfast and dinner, and our Starbucks which is available 24 hours. I hope that we will see you again in the future when your travels bring you back to Sonoma County.

It seems to be an older hotel.

It's a good location because we split our time between wineries in St Helena, the Dry Creek & Russian River Valleys.

I'd like to award the Santa Rosa Courtyard a 3.5 star rating.

This is a typical Courtyard by Marriott, offering good value for the money. The hotel is clean and newish, the staff is friendly, the rooms updated, the location excellent, and they have free internet - but after it's all said and done, this is another slightly better than average hotel.
(To me, average means a place I'd be happy to stay at again, with no major complaints, but nothing special either.)

Conveniently located right right off highway 101, the hotel is located in the trendy Railroad Square district. It's walking distance to wine bars, great restaurants, and enticing shops. If you're a runner, be sure to explore the bike path that seemingly goes West forever. Downtown Santa Rosa is 4 blocks East, on the other side of the freeway.

The "Bistro" in the lobby offers up a light breakfast and dinner. With Starbucks coffee on tap, I found it just fine to get my day started. I didn't try the dinner. At the end of the day it was nice to be able to grab a glass of wine to take up to my room.

I stayed 3 nights on this trip and have already reserved another stay next month.

Room Tip: If you want more luxury in the same trendy neighborhood, try the Hyatt across the street.

Good value and location for Sonoma wine tastings. Easy drives to Healdsburg, Dry Creek Area, Guerneville, Russian River, and Sonoma area. Right off Hwy 101, good dining options near hotel. Rate was competitive, room was clean and quiet. Service staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is my first option for Sonoma valley wine tasting vacations.

Longtime loyal guests of the Marriott chain, we recently revisited this location. The updated lobby now offers additional online amenities, including weather/flight/attractions info. The staff remains friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and a good value.

The Courtyard in Santa Rosa was a great place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is strategically located for wine country excursions and local restaurants which were very nice. We had requested a refrigerator for the room because only some rooms have them. When we arrived at the room, the refrigerator was already there. It was a great two night stay; I don't have a bad thing to say about the place. Would go again in a minute. By the way, there is a good family type restaurant on Santa Rosa Avenue about a mile from the Courtyard called "Willy Bird's." Its specialty is turkey (they have their own turkey farm). It's nothing fancy, but the food is very good and reasonably priced. They also have a kids' menu.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the quieter it seems to be.

Stayed here for one night while in Santa Rosa on business. I wanted a location near downtown, and this was pretty much as close as you can get, although still not really walking distance at night. Easy parking, rooms were average size, average cleanliness. There wasn't anybody working the front desk when I was checking out, and didn't want to wait, which seemed kind of strange at 7:00am in the morning. I would probably check out other options next time I'm in Santa Rosa.
