Really good, fresh food in a friendly country style restaurant that serves as many locals as it does travelers. Perfect stop if you are using the Lake Cachuma bypass.

“Family tradition!”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

Every time we visit Solvang (which is several times a year) - this is our favorite go to spot for breakfast! Sometimes we even bring along our fresh picked berries from local farms to throw in our oatmeal! The chorizo is excellent, the bacon is the best, the waitress' are very accommodating to our special requests from our picky children and their substitutes. Any egg dish that you order will be delicious, and the pancakes are just perfect! Down to earth, friendly, cowboy vibe place! Love it...

“Nice Place!”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

Stop in the other morning just for a coffee. Great friendly people and super coffee..

Went in today for a delightful cinnamon French Toast breakfast special for a very reasonable $6.50 which was super and again, nice hostess. Being we will soon be right across the street, I can see plenty more visits.
Coffee price is a tad high at $2 a cup

“A local diner with a laid back vibe.”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

This place is great for a real diner style breakfast. Not a fancy place and seems like mostly locals hang out here. They have amazing burgers but the rest of the lunch menu is somewhat disappointing. If you are looking for good old stick to ribs food then this is the place.

“Diner/Dive/Doesn't matter...Delicious!”
Reviewed 11 March 2013

OK, this is a small town restaurant with things such as biscuits and gravy. Get into that mode, and you'll be ok. Great small town experience with photos on the wall that creates the historical experience. The food is honest and real. I think they open up so early that the cowboys and surfers can all be there before they begin their day. My daughter in law loves the breakfast burrito, but I love poached eggs and toast. I have had the biscuits and gravy on a weak day, and they were delicious. My husband loves every omelet they make. We like to go there at a non-rush time because it can get very busy. Forget about service...that isn't what you go for (and it isn't great), but everything else is fantastic.
