Located in an old building just off the Main Street (Bridgeway) the Gables offers great service and in many rooms a spectacular view of SF across the bay. The morning breakfast is special only to be trumped by an even better wine cheese at dusk
Small (15 rooms) but special

Room Tip: Ask for those with SF view

We stayed in a lovely room, great breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese. The location is fabulous! We had 3 couples so was like renting a house but someone to wait on us! The food was so great...each morning a lovely selection to begin our day. Sausalito is a gem..we originally planned to stay in San Francisco, but the rooms were all booked so this was our plan B, which turned out to be great!

I cant rate this Inn highly enough, from the minute we arrived we were made to feel like family. Melanie met us on arrival, took us round the hotel, helped get our luggage into the room, pointed out places to visit locally and helped us out with specific advice that we asked for.

The room was beautiful, it was 101, had its own little garden area, the bathroom was large and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable and we even had a little sofa to sit on too.

The evening cheese and wine event is a great idea as you get the opportunity to chat with the other guests. The breakfast is lovely and very relaxed running onto 10.30 leaves plenty of time for a holiday long lie.

All the staff were super friendly but a special mention has to go to Melanie who really went the extra mile, not to mention her lovely cheeses.

Go ahead and book a few days here, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed in 101 which was great, the only issue is that it is near the ice machine which was noisy on the very few occasions it was used

We stayed at the Gables with 3 other couples. We spent one night there on our way to wine country. We could have spent 2 more days there. Located just up the hill from main street Sausalito, you can walk to Main street. Each room comes with a large TV, very clean, cute decorum, wine and cheese happy hour, breakfast in the morning. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Their parking lot is small- be aware.

Our stay at the Gables Inn lived up to all my expectations and more! The staff are so friendly and helpful, you feel so welcomed, like you are surrounded by family. Our room was spectacular, the Magnolia Room had the most amazing view of the bay, Alcatraz, and part of San Francisco. The room was immaculate as was the bathroom. The towels were so luxurious and the products supplied were the best! Our balcony was so relaxing to sit on and watch the activity on the bay. The continental breakfast was so impressive, so many healthy choices, it was the best we have ever experienced at any lodging we have stayed at over many years. The wine and cheese they have in the early evening was another pleasant surprise! I felt so relaxed here, I wish we had time to stay longer. Loved the very soothing music playing in the lobby. I would recommend this place highly!

Room Tip: The Magnolia Room had a great view.
