There were 4 of us for brunch. Upon recommendation from waitress two of us ordered the fried chicken, one the burger and the other the cassoulet. When the food came out we both cut into our chicken only to find it completely raw in the middle...not pink...RAW. We told the waitress and she apologized profusely, claiming this had never happened before. No worries we thought. She said she would get us new dishes right away. She returned with our chicken only to find out that rather than making us completely new pieces of chicken, the kitchen staff simply put the cut in half chicken back into the deep fryer!! And returned it on the same plates as the raw chicken. Are you kidding me??? And the waitress was just dumbfounded as to why that wasn't acceptable to us. No offer to re-do the chicken properly or get us something else. No sign of the chef coming out to apologize. And it wasn't until we requested to see the manager that he showed up and was as dumbfounded as the waitress. Just a completely awful experience. Now I don't live in Sausalito but the couple we were with do live there. We travel there often and unfortunately Plate Shop is off the list. Mistakes in a kitchen happen all the time. I know, I've worked in food service. But not handling the situation properly is far worse than any food screw up. BTW...the cassoulet was very good!!
