A friend treated me for lunch and it was a wonderful surprise. I had the chicken and she had lamb. Sauces weren't heavy and were very flavorful. Great that you choose how spicy you want it. Informed service. Lots of food for a decent price. Park in the back of the restaurant.

On a Saturday in Sausalito, everyone is waiting for a table for the mediocre tourist food downtown. Head up the road to Taste of the Himalayas, and you won't be disappointed. I'm not sure where you might park, as there are only two spots out front, but do what you have to for a meal here. The food is mostly familiar Kashmir and northern Indian, and it's good. We started with the spinach/beet/mozzarella salad, with a light vinaigrette. We also shared a plate of pakoras, which were presented in a different way than I've ever seen: veggies in small pieces in a tangle of batter with a delightful raisin or fig sauce to dip. Yummy! They also served us a light lentil soup that was buttery good. I had the Himalayan Malai Kofta, and I asked for it to be mildly spiced, and it was perfect. My partner had the rack of lamb, which I tasted, and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It was served as chops, making it easy to deal with. My drink was minted lemonade, and once you taste this, you'll wonder why you ever drank anything else on a summer's day! Service was fast, pleasant, prices were good. Not too fancy inside, but we couldn't take our eyes off the food.

A woderful menu and wonderful service. Order the small plate selection to sample the tastes.
Nice wine selection priced a bit below Marin typical pricing.
Only complaint was tables a bit sticky need to wip down with a cleaner rag and soap.

The food here is great, lots of Vegan options if you want to or not if you don't. The chef takes great care to make sure the food is spiced as you like it. Share the Samosa Chat or the Momos with a drink as you peruse the menu for your main courses...

Prices are so good it's easy to come here on a regular basis, which we do.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. They work hard to ensure you have a good experience and listen to your feedback.
