“A Little Jewel in Sausalito”
Review of Anchorage 5

Anchorage 5
Ranked #42 of 80 Restaurants in Sausalito
Restaurant details
Reviewed 21 May 2014

The Anchorage 5 Restaurant is where the locals go. You drive past the other breakfast places on Bridgeway with lines out the door, and know you will be able to walk right into the Anchorage. Luis and Regina Diaz serve breakfast and lunch with a Mexican spin. Huevos Rancheros have an amazing home made sauce. They featured home made tamales on Cinco De Mayo.On more traditional fare their omelets are named after the many residents of Sausalito. Corn beef hash is made from scratch every day. Chunky, not ground up. Enchiladas and chili verde can be featured along side French Dip and Burgers. There truly is something for everyone!

Honestly this is written because I like this place so well..Great Food, Great Friendly Service, Open 7 days..

American Food but with a good Mexican South American flare. Whether it's simple bowl of Oatmeal or Bacon and Eggs, Stack of Pancakes, or maybe Eggs Montana, Chirizo and Eggs, Benedict, it's great and well served. Cottage or Hash Browns? Also the Brunches and early dinner comes out well too, great sandwiches, soups, salads too..AND Specials all the time..

Good food, priced cheap, great service. The food has a good price for good food in a rich area. But is kind of hard to find and there is always enough save for everyone. It's never super busy.

Visited this place on a recommendation, It is set back in gate 5 which you will not find unless you have some inside info! When I hear the term "hole in the wall" or "Mom's home cooking" it perks my interest and this place did not dissappoint, The atmosphere is casual and friendly just like a local place should be,allot of the people coming and going seem to be regulars, however,We were greeted with the comfortable tone...The food is advertised as California/ Mexican and with a large selection which sometimes makes me weary but not here, corn beef hash to die for, crab louise salad fresh and crispy, smoked salmon scramble awesome! crab benedict perfect! If you have a oppertunity to be in the area foget the tourist traps and seek out Anchorage 5 you'll be hooked!!
