“Stunning views of SF on a stunning boat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Absolutely loved this. The views were unreal, the wine was fantastic and the nibblies was more than enough. It was pretty cold once the sun went down and it was supposedly unusually windy for that day too but they provided fleece blankets which were a huge help. The crew was lovely and they didnt talk much once we were out on the water which suited me fine. If you're looking for a tour this isnt for you but if you're looking for a nice romantic cruise around SF then this is the place!!!!

“Great Company, Great time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

We bought a livingsocial type dealy thing for the evening sail on Freda B. We were confused getting there, had to pay for parking and the machine was broken, so we were running late... They waited until all the parties arrived (which was within 4 minutes of the scheduled departure time. If you plan on being half an hour late, please don't quote my review that they'll wait for excessive tardiness.) The staff were wonderful, knowledgable, and pretty darned good looking to boot! I had tons of questions about sail boats since my boyfriend and I toyed with the idea of living on one, and they were more than happy to give us the scoop. They served good wine (at a reasonable price for a boat cruise- more than safeway, less than your first born child) and gave out complimentary cookies and truffles. I would GLADLY pay full price for this adventure in the future, and will be recommending them to friends and family. Enjoy!

“A Top Notch Sailing Adventure!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

We sailed today on the Freda B with the St. Supery wine club to watch the America's Cup races. It was a fabulous adventure enhanced by a top notch crew. Special kudos to Marina & Bosco & the rest of their staff who made sure we were completely comfortable & enjoying ourselves. Obviously, the wine was delicious but, thanks to Sarah & others in the galley, the food was yummy & kept coming! Once we sailed into beautiful San Francisco bay, the weather got colder & windy. The staff quickly brought out blankets to ensure our comfort. Incredible service which was greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to next year because we shall return to sail on the Freda B.

“Beautiful, but bring warm clothes!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

Our "adventure" was great! We purchased 2 vouchers off of Groupon for the Sunday evening cruise. It left out of Saulsalito which is a beautiful little town. It is a little difficult to find where the boat leaves so just leave enough time. The crew was great - funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. They really knew what they were doing. They served a delicious cheese & cracker spread and had a cash bar. The boat itself is a beautiful boat.
Now some warnings - they tell you to dress warmly and it is NECESSARY. You may get wet & it is chilly so bring multiple layers. They do hand out blankets when it starts to get chilly. We were out on a sunny, beautiful day but when you are really moving (it is a real sailboat) it gets windy & a little bumpy. That lasted for about 10 minutes maximum and then the rest was a slow, peaceful cruise all the way back. The views were beautiful and the whole experience was wonderful. But as I said, be prepared to dress warmly & it may be a little rough.

“So cold...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013

If you had any false perceptions about the glorious warmth of California, for god's sake, bring a jacket. And a warm one. At honestly no fault of the tour company, this beautiful boat, with very nice hors d'oeuvres, and a very engaged crew, took us out for a really nice sunset sail for 2hrs through the SF harbor. And we saw beautiful skylines and the lit up Golden Gate bridge, and surrounding islands. BUT, it was so bloody cold that the 2hrs felt 90min too long, and I'm pretty sure while eating a block of pre-arranged expensive cheese, I tried biting my own finger. It all starts to feel the same when your hands feel like ice-blocks, you see...

They had blankets on board probably to help dorks like me, but I think this could have been so much more fun if I had brought warmer clothes. It gets windy as h*ell in that harbor at night. Go, enjoy, but be warm...
