The staff make this place. Wendy, you were fantastic with your welcome and service and with your recommendations of places to see. Thank you to the valets and maids too. We had a room at the back which was quiet not least because there were no windows we could open; it was like being in a hermetically sealed box. The room was large but with some quirks; strange layout of the bathroom - why is the towel rail in the toilet rather than near the shower/bath? We had booked the breakfast as part of our package and basically the voucher entitles you to toast with coffee and fruit. It was not worth it; either just buy what you want for breakfast in Poggio (which is excellent; do eat there). Excellent location in the centre of Sausolito.

Good staff. Great location with a view of the harbor and water. We stayed in an updated cottage. Close to the Marin Headlands and the Golden Gate Bridge. Good recommendations for restaurants such as Fred's . We hope to stay there again soon.

We had originally booked a hillside cottage, but the room they gave us 311 didn't have a balcony/outdoor area which we requested. They ended up changing us over to one of the main hotel rooms 4th floor and those rooms are beautiful. Excellent views and very spacious rooms with 4 post beds/big bathrooms, etc. They even gave us a bottle of wine for the trouble of having to switch rooms! We had a great stay in Sausalito this is a nice spot. Main hotel rooms upper floors are the way to go in my opinion.

My husband and I spent our 5th anniversary at Casa Madrona. The room was amazing. The bathroom is huge and the balcony was great. We sat on the balcony enjoying a bottle of wine overlooking the town of Sausalito. The rooms are a bit pricey but worth the cost.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main building on the 3rd floor with the balcony. If you want to do the spa, book in...

This property was carefully conceived, well designed, and delivers the envisioned experience.

Sausalito is a true tourist trap in the Bay Area. Like Fisherman's Warf and Alcatraz it carries a dubious distinction of attracting hoards of tourists and businesses that cater to the. Usually that means overpriced services and products and sub par quality to go along. Although this hotel is at the very heart of Sausalito, it delivers top notch spa lodging experience at a price that you would expect to pay for such product.

The hotel has the outer front of the old historic business, but everything inside has been rebuilt from scratch. public places ate tastefully done, rooms are large and superb. Every details has been tended to. Bathrooms are top notch featuring oversized tubs, separate shower and toilet stalls. Staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. SPA looked wonderful, the only complaint there is short hours.

Location is very convenient. You are a short ferry ride from downtown San Francisco, 30 minute ride to Napa Valley, and within an hour of anywhere in the Bay Area.

This is a go-to property for a romantic weekend for the locals and the visitors.

Room Tip: if you are local and flexible, you can get a decent deal here by using Hoteltonite app fro the last...

I appreciate the time you took to communicate your praise to us. Our goal is to provide our guests with service and quality that will make their time with us memorable. Everyone’s efforts are made worthwhile when we hear such positive feedback from those who matter the most -- guests such as yourself.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back. Hopefully, you will have time to sample the spa as well on your next visit. Please know that, with advance notice, we'd be delighted to schedule treatment appointments outside our standard busines hours.

Wishing you a wonderful autumn in the interim!

We were in San Francisco with our 8-month old baby for a short vacation, and spent most of our time in the city. In need of some down time, we decided to spend one night in Sausalito. We got there slightly early, so we waited in the lobby until the room was ready. The front desk clerk Ricky was overly professional and gracious, making sure we were comfortable by giving us water and engaging in some friendly conversation. When we got to our harbor-view room, we were amazed at the beautiful views with the french doors opening onto the balcony. Shortly after we settled in, there was a knock on the door. The hotel had sent us a bottle of local wine and a special toy for our little baby!

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the area. The rooms are clean and contemporary, but most importantly the staff makes you feel like you're one of the family. Thank you Casa Madrona for a wonderful stay!

Rented two suites for my mother's 92nd birthday. The suites were very clean and well appointed. The staff was superb and gracious. The location is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It would be a great honeymoon destination as well.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony overlooking Sausalito and the Bay.
