“Can't beat the view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

Sitting almost on the sand, enjoying the view of the ocean, riverbed and all the people coming and going from the beach, you can't beat it.

The food is fantastic and the staff very friendly. A bit of a wait if you don't get there early and sometimes I have trouble getting refills on my coffee, but that's the worst I have to say about it.

This last weekend there was a musician on site playing lovely background music.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

“On the beach, breakfast and lunch are delightful”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

Let's start off by stating this is not a great restaurant. However, it is good and it is consistent. But more importantly, it is on the beach, next to the river, with the surf in view.

They do a nice job on breakfast and lunch (never had dinner there).

The Mexican themed dishes have never disappointed, and the salads are large and good.

Service is ok, but I think it depends on the day, time of day and the "who" is serving.

There is a large City-owned Parking Lot. It costs $, and it does take Credit cards. But you have to add that into the cost of the meal (minimal, but irritating) cost.

Overall, a good place to sit outside on a nice day and enjoy the beach.

“Right on the Sand at the Water's End.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

Took my husband here for his birthday. It's right on the sand and just feet from the the water. The menu is very tasted and reasonably priced. There's patio seating as well as indoors. It's not fancy, very beachy and sometimes crowded. The only downside is the bathrooms are public. The restaurant doesn't have its own. Not too bad, but not the best for the ladies. Great place to host parties, they have menu for catering too. My husband loved it and was happily surprised. I understand there are times that a band, on the back of a pickup truck, pulls in and entertains. We haven't been there when this occurred, but everyone who has, says it awesome!
Brunch is best, but make reservations or long wait.

“Hard to beat that view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014

We didn't expect much when we saw the café. It looked just like a chack but boy was that a great place. Right on the beach with wonderful views of the river and ocean as well as a lot of sand.
I had fish and chips and the fish was my absolute favorite, halibut. Everything was so good.
Sitting in the sunshine eating great food while watching over the ocean. If you like that you have to go to River's End café.
Plenty of parking as well even if they cost a couple of dollars.

“Beach Front”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

The atmosphere is all beach. The food is good and it is the only place with quick access and plenty of parking that allows you to enjoy your food and beer on the sand. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day or a break on your bike ride.
