Owner description: Dutton-Goldfield is a partnership between grapegrower Steve Dutton and winemaker Dan Goldfield. Our mission is to produce world class wines that display the brightness of fruit, complexity, structure and balance that are reflective of our cool climate vineyards. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the mainstays of our portfolio, along with small lots of Syrah, Zinfandel, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer. Our tasting room is casual and comfortable, with outdoor seating on our patio in the summer, and in our cozy living room by the fireplace in the winter. We offer several tasting options, and are also happy to customize a special event for your group. We look forward to your visit!

Basic tasting room- small outside patio that was pretty. Not particularly scenic. The wines were good, staff was knowledgeable. It's in a nice central location.

This was our first time to Sonoma County and we only visited a few wineries. I chose wineries that I have never heard of because I can try some Sonoma wines where I live. Dutton Goldfield was our second winery. The wine tasting room manager (I can't find his card) was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. He let me taste two extra wines that weren't on the list that day. These wines were so delicious, especially the Azaya Pinot Noir and the Angel Camp Pinot Noir. The Riesling was fantastic as well. These wines had great flavor and body. I wish I could have bought some. Maybe next time!

We were a groupd of seven and stopped at Dutton Goldfied last week because of the reputation of their wines. The service that they provided was as wonderful as the wines we tasted. On a beautiful afternoon, we sat outside and were served by Nicole, the manager. Not only did she provide a wealth of information about the wines she was pouring, but she was as charming and gracious as we could have hoped for. We spent the week in Sonoma and this was our favorite experience. While we had a number of excellent wine tastings, Nicole was the best. We joined the wine club, bought a few bottles to take with us and even were able to meet Dan Goldfield, who was headed out for a meeting. He spoke with us for several minutes and made us feel like we were old friends. As we were leaving we asked Nicole for a recommendation for dining and she told us of a place just down the road that was excellent.

The location might initially seem odd, but the tasting room is quite inviting. The wines here are great. Ask questions and chat up the staff, if you seem interested they'll talk and probably give you a taste of something not on the menu.

I thought we were Pinot experts untill our private wine guide Soussan took us to David Hewitts tasting room in Sebastapool. One after the other he introduced us to some of the best wines on the planet. Davids love and passion for everything they do is very apparent. The wine experience at Dutton Goldfield w David & Soussan should be on your bucket list if you like big Pinots and the Russian River taste ! Please use this information discreetly as we all know what happens to hidden gems in the wine country.
