...that even though Shoshone is right next door to Tecopa, we didn't even think about hitting the hot springs. We did stop for a nice ice tea and some yummy, crispy French fries. The hamburgers looked good for the middle of the desert, and the local Sheriff's deputy highly recommended the place (always eat where cops eat...they know what's decent in the area). After filling up with some carbs, caffeine and a decent share of local gossip, we were on our way to Death Valley.

Have stopped here many times for beverages and a bite to eat. Almost like a museum inside. Good food and service.

The Crow Bar is basically the only place to eat in Shoshone in addition to the nights Pastels Bistro in Tecopa is not open. they have huge breakfasts and great sandwiches. Full bar makes it the only bar I've found in the two towns. The staff is very friendly.

We were about to starve when we came across this cafe. It was decorated with old items from the past and the museum is right next door. We had hamburgers and I had The Sunshine which is really a type of grilled cheese. Their potato salad was wonderful as well. great overall experience and good food!

Good food, good service, fair price. Buddy and I had left Bishop, CA that morning, rode through Death Valley. We were needing a break and some food. We sure did not mind finding a place to cool off. We decided to take a chance and give it a try. After all it was not like there were many choices. We arrived in the middle of a very busy time. People of all ages and walks of life were there. It appeared only one lady was taking care of everyone plus the cash register. Also I think there was only one cook. This lady was running around taking good care of everyone. We were served in a timely fashion and the food was good. It did slow down to were there was only another small group there besides us by the time we finished. I guess it was lunch hour. We were thankful for the Crowbar.
