“Small tasting bar, very nice experience”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Our hostess, Phyllis H. was very nice, provided lots of info along with free tastings (we bought a bottle to take home). The owner (Tom Meadowcroft) was in the room. Typical of Sonoma, nice friendly people, generous tastes, and a good experience.

“Scenic and beautiful landscape with a unique wine list”
Reviewed 18 March 2013 via mobile

Visited this boutique winery through our tour with "A taste of San Francisco and Beyond"

Leaving from SF it was a very scenic drive...

Great location and fantastic restaurants an other stores in location.

Tom Meadowcroft - Owner

3 different labels
- Meadowcroft
- Thomas Henry
- AJ Foit

In our wine tasting we tried all under Meadowcroft label

- 2011 Viognier
Aromatics of ripe apricots and tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple. Citrus and peach on the palate. *didnt like this*

- 2010 Chardonnay
Complex, retro Burgandian (old fashioned - the way they made it in burgundy) style with notes of citrus, hazelnut and lemon verbena. * like this one*

2011 Reisling (got the grapes in Loda, California but they make the wine here)
Floral notes brimming with Asian pear, lychee and citrus with a dry finish. *not bad... Weird smell*

2011 Pinot Noir
Notes of wild strawberry and cherry dominate with Asian spice, vanilla and Sandlewood. *not bad for a red*

2010 Sangiovese
Dark berry flavours with a hint of plum and cedar on the finish
* Pizza, pasta pairing wine... Great with red sauces
*wasnt a favourite but I can see where it would be great with red sauce items

2010 Zinfandel
Deep and dark, with notes of black currants, cherries and plums very balanced wine. * not that great* learnt something new that Zinfandel also comes in red... California tends to have theirs in red.

2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma
Dark ripe flavors of blackberry and dark cherry with firm yet integrated tannins

“Side by side wines”
Reviewed 13 October 2012

This place is in the same property as Thomas henry winery. Grounds have a nice little cafe whose food is local organic and tasty. The grounds are a fun walk an worth the stop. Wine is same as the others in the area.

“Off the beaten path”
Reviewed 13 October 2011

The location is not ideal, but the service, the wine, and the CHEESE PLATE is great. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.
