Our meal was outstanding in every way the staff were attentive explaining the detail of the menu and specials and the gourmet delights began tomato curry soup and burrata entrees followed by albacore tuna and wolf ranch quail for mains cooked to perfection
The dessert of almond blueberry cake with almond Ice cream was outstanding the wine list was expansive
And when the bill arrived it added up to one of the best meals we have had at the cost anywhere

Location, service were excellent. Mussels were good. Steak was great. Good wines. Fried green tomatoes were bland-salt and pepper didn't help. Not certain I'd make a repeat visit.

Small restaurant, reservations a must. Menu is limited and changed as the evening progressed. Friendly service

Right from our warm greeting by the owner I could tell this restaurant was going to be good. Staff were friendly and efficient and the restaurant had an excellent atmosphere. Most importantly the food was out of this world. I have eaten in 3 top restaurants in Sonoma but this was my pick of the bunch. Do yourself a favour and go.

Heard great things about this Sonoma landmark so decided to check it out.
Four of us had been out for a day of guided wine tasting, so we were looking for a heavier meal. All of us opted for the steak on the menu and judging by all of the other reviews (none of them having ordered the beef) it appears that it's the one significant weakness on their menu. The steaks were all overcooked, which happens. The bigger issue that we had was the quality of the steak, based upon the price charged. The steaks were surprisingly thin (likely leading to to them being overcooked, but the amount of fat and gristle on the steaks was unacceptable.
Service and ambiance were great....I guess we just stumbled over their one weakness....
