OK this is pretty cool. It's not DIsneyland but if you are in Sonoma and have kids it is worth the price of the ticket which is not too high. Small open train takes you into the woods and stop at farm zoo on the way.

“must stop for the kids”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

i have a 9 year old who i thought might be a little old for this place. we went anyhow, expecting to stay a short time and take a quick train ride. however, this little place exceeded my expectations. the tiny trains are a miniatures of the real thing. one even blows smoke from its stack. not being a train officianado, i cannot speak expertly on this subject, but i was impressed w/the small scale little engines and cars that took us on a beautiful journey around the park. there is so much to see on that little ride, and if it wasn't for some nearby homes w/n view of the route, i would have thought we were on the denver rio grande! my mom and i both enjoyed it immensely even though we went initially for my son's experience. The miniature town was so cute. i couldn't get enough pictures. we didn't even have time to bother w/the petting zoo b/c we were so busy posing for photos in the mini fire station, jail and outhouse!!! what a fun time. my son had the most fun riding the other amusement park type of rides there were to offer. he was still a good age to enjoy the roller coaster, the ferris wheel, the giant swings and some other spinning, twisting ride they had. he loved the real train that was a open for tours and enjoyed climing up and down the ladders in the cars, etc. he even rode the merry go round w/me! we had a $3, long, Casper's hot dogs for lunch and were totally satisfied w/our trip! the down side: they did not spend enough time in the mini town to allow us to pet the animals. i imagine if you go on a slow day you can stay and catch any train back to the station. however, this day was packed and our engineer (rather rudely) advised us that we had to board our own train b/c the other train was full. that was a bummer. the grounds are beautiful however, and we enjoyed this more that expected. i would definitely recommend it to families w/babies, toddlers, and kids up to about 12 or so (b/c of the extra rides and the mini train is pretty cool even though a 13 yr. old probably wouldn't admit it!)

This is a great spot for little people who love trains. The train ride is exciting for them, the petting zo is a nice touch, and the rides add excitement. little people will love it.

“Great local attraction.”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is a great place to go if you are already in the Napa Valley. The train ride is very well done. The airplane ride is fun traditional fair type ride. The animal in the petting zoo are so eager to be fed it was very fun. The parking is free and the admission is free but individual rides cost. This was nice because we had a great time in just 90 minutes. This is a great place but if you travel very far you will be disappointed!!! This is not a destination but a great side trip. The bathrooms were tolerable not super clean but not filthy.
