This is a great property, and an excellent base for visiting Sonoma wine country. Clean, comfy rooms with a great central parlor. The Italian innkeepers are wonderful, informative, and prepare excellent, wholesome breakfasts - and accommodating to picky eaters! Free bikes add to the attraction.

Besides the wineries, local shopping and excellent cuisine are a half block away on the square. Come on a Tuesday and enjoy the evening farmers market, live band, and numerous food stations.

the place to be. we had the chance to stay here last month...we had no accommodation and since it was one of the inn by the plaza we just asked and luckily they had 1 room left for the night. owners, Alice and Paolo, are italian as we are...and this was also a pleasant surprise. The inn is BEAUTIFUL and if you look at the pics on their website..it's exactly like that. Breakfast can be considered a lunch (even too much!) and it is beautifully prepared. Alice and the chef are serving it every morning giving details on the dish and making every moment a real experience. Sonoma is also a peaceful town where to start tours around. the inn was available only for one night so we then had to move but i highly recommend it to everyone...and i also recommend to book in advance...during may they were quite busy the whole month. we stayed in the Rosegarden room, in the front building...even if facing the street it was very comfortable and you cannot hear anything until 8 or 8.30. I loved the atmosphere of the house and gardens. in front of the house there are some chairs and bench that were appreciated after the wine day tour! just opposite the inn there are few nice restaurants and wineries. i don't know if i will have the chance to come back but for sure i ll recommend it.

Never say never my dear friend, it's so easy to catch a flight to come back to Sonoma.
Thank you very much for your review, and remember to consider to come during the harvest, it's gorgeous here and Sonoma offers every season special events.
We made improvements on the outside gardens, so we need all guests' opinion :-)

This place is so charming and beautiful! You cannot beat the location next to the Plaza, very convenient for the wine country. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and everything was immaculately clean. Our room was not very big and it was located next to the breakfast area so my only complaint was the noise in the morning. Otherwise it was a perfect stay. What makes this place so special and unique is the owners, Alice and Paolo. They are the ideal hosts. They serve a different, home-made breakfast in the communal table every morning. We were impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the incredible taste and the cute presentation of the food. They also provide you with assistance and advice about restaurants, wine tours, area events, etc. They truly care about their guests and we really felt like family. It is a small, intimate place, perfect for couples and a romantic getaway. We didn't use them but they have free bikes and a jacuzzi as well as a refrigerator. There are fresh flowers and candles everywhere and they also leave bottled water and a little snack to welcome you the first night. It was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend it enough. I would go back in a heartbeat to stay in one of their suites next time.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms next to the breakfast area as it gets pretty loud in the morning.

We stayed here to enjoy two quick days in wine country, one in each county. The inn was perfectly situated as a home base for strolling the historic square, eating at some fine restaurants, and wine tasting on our first day. (The room rate includes a pass to several wine tastings.) Alice and Paolo also went way above and beyond the great location and food in helping us get to and from Napa for our day with friends there. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Alice runs a wonderful B&B about 1 block off the square in Sonoma. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The 3 rooms in the back actually have a private little porch and backyard. There is a nice size hot tub and parking right outside the room. Add their great homemade breakfast and you can't beat it!

Room Tip: A little more money for the three separate back rooms, but roomier, very private and we'll worth it!
