This restaurant was only a block away from our hotel in Suisun City, and we decided to give it a try since the hotel provided us with a coupon card good at this restaurant. The restaurant is small and casual, and I would call it very pleasant. It turns out that there was only one server on duty, and it took us a while to figure out that we could seat ourselves. After several minutes we noticed some menus that turned out to be take-out menus, but they gave us the opportunity to figure out what we might like to order. After perhaps 10 minutes, the waitress finally got to our table and offered us real menus. One nice touch is that the waitress brought us some edamame shortly after we ordered. We had several different sushi rolls, which were all decent. Their Ramen noodles were in a broth that was just okay at best, and the pieces of gristly chicken in it did not win much favor. Based on the above, I might have rated the restaurant as "average". However, the next day I learned from our hotel staff that the coupon card we had was offered by something like a chamber of commerce and we should have been give $5 off the price of our dinner at Tasuke. Well, our server took a couple dollars off our dinner based on the coupon card, but this isn't what the offer was supposed to be. Maybe I am too principled, but this kind of ticked me off. So in summary, average food, slow service and not living up to their coupon agreement leads me to rate this place as poor. While our nearby hotel was great and we anticipate returning, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
