“Simple, unpretentious, yea a bit rustic but outstanding cuisine”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

Shanghai stuffed buns of many different varieties, fresh vegetables prepared just right, savory and comforting soups uniquely available in this nondescript, but crowded and popular establishment in a Sunnyvale strip mall. Bay Area is definitely the US home to outstanding Asian cuisines of many different varieties and tastes. Try the Sheng Jian buns for delicious, juicy treat rarely found outside of China

“Dumplings”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Its the dumplings stupid. These dumplings are juicy without being oily, and the radish cakes flaky and tasty. VERY authentic

“Just Okay”
Reviewed 29 March 2013

Overall, the food at this dingy, sticky hole-in-the-wall is just so-so.

The baked radish cake is, arguably, the tallest midget here. It would taste even better (i.e., less dry) if it had more radish filling.

The next best dish (a close second) is the pan fried pork buns. They're a bit too doughy for my taste. But my wife digs them.

The other dishes that we tried were rather bland and mundane.

“Pan fried dumplings and...”
Reviewed 2 February 2009

Pan fried dumplings and curry beef soup are great. Hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, egg rolls mushy, but again the dumplings are why you come here. One flavor only - pork.
