If you are into lace, the making and history, this is a nice place to visit. The displays are nice and easy to read. Most times there is a docent that will guide you around the small museum. They have a large section of books about lace and the how to make lace. If you could care less about lace you might get bored.

Nice place to visit if you have spare time and don't know what to do. It is more like lace market, then actual museum. But they have lovely winter exposition.

If you're looking for something obscure to do, this will fit the bill. Like a trip back in time, the docent is very possessive of you and you're not allowed to look around on your own. The types of lace and background provided on the pieces was interesting and the whole trip took less than an hour.

This is indeed a tiny museum, and you probably wouldn't want to spend a long time there. However, for the equally tiny donation we made, it was interesting to see the VERY elaborate, huge beaded collars designed to decorate evening dresses, and other fine art work. Not an attraction you'd drive across the country for, but worth a brief stop, especially if you're the kind of person who at least likes to see why something might be of interest to others even if it's not something you yourself would become passionate about. Make sure you get to see all the pieces that are hidden away in sliding drawers.

We actually visited in the winter of 2010.
