Love their Mango/Shrimp Salad, Green Papaya Salad, Panang Curry with Shrimp, Thai Iced Coffee (if you don't need to sleep that night), Mango and Sticky Rice w/ Coconut Milk for dessert. Good value.

“Good Lunch Spot”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

We normally go here for lunch - it' s in our neighborsd and we can walk. They have a wide range of specials at very reasonable price and you can choose from vegetarian versions, seafood or meat.
I usually eat either Pad Thai or other noodle dishes and my husband likes green curry.
We've been going here for years and it's a dependable option. It's a very popular lunchtime spot, so you may need to wait a bit to be seated.

“Very nice thai restaurant”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

My wife and I come here regularly... and since we went there first has become our "go-to" thai restaurant...
The food is always good and taste consistent... ambiance is nice (not overly romantic or something but feels good)

It is usually crowded on weekends but we haven't had to wait for a long time even once. It is actually bigger than it looks.

We've tried "mango curry" "pad kee mao" and absolutely love it everytime. Recently we started trying out new dishes and haven't been disappointed.

The portions are always pretty big ( 1 curry is more than sufficient for a couple)

“Fresh food, good size portions, pricey, crowded on weekends”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

This Thai restaurant is about a mile from my house, and is just within walking range, although its across a very busy expressway, so you take your life in your hands walking at night, during rush hour.

Thai Pepper is located in a strip mall on Sunnyvale Saratoga road, a six lane 45 mph expressway, across the street from Fremont High School, and next to several of apartment buildings, often visited by the Sunnyvale Police.

The restaurant has a glass exterior, but the roof overhang is so severe that it darkens the interior quite a bit. The interior is the usual vinyl covered seats, hole in the wall, Asian restaurant.

We've come here many times, especially when we saw a 2 for 1 ad in the Metro newspaper. Those times are long gone, but we still come back, especially on holiday Mondays for lunch. They do serve a good variety of weekday lunch specials for around $9 apiece.

We come here now more often on Saturday evenings. There is often a wait, as this strip mall is located next to some residential areas. So there isn't a lot of nearby restaurants to choose from, and certainly no Thai restaurants.

We have two favorite dishes here: the Panang Curry Lamb at $15, and the Spicy Seafood at $14. We usually call ahead to make sure they haven't run out of the Lamb.

The Spicy Seafood dish consists of stir fried prawns, scallops squid and fish fillets in a sauce mixed with sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onions. We eat it over rice. There are a lot of squid, and while I'm not a big fan of squid, these taste pretty good -not too rubbery, not overcooked, with a good texture, and flavorful. There are far less prawns, and only a few scallops and fish fillets. These are all fresh and very tasty!

The Panang Curry Lamb are very thin slices of lamb mixed with sliced bell peppers in a thick coconut milk curry with basil. I'm not a big lamb fan, but this dish is to die for! Yummy good!

We finish the Spicy Seafood dish, and a small part of the Panang Curry Lamb, saving much of the Lamb and the accompanying sauce. We pan fry the sauce the next day with sliced cauliflower, and at the last moment add the lamb. A way to get two meals out of one.

“Delicious Food”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

Great for good Thai food. They have a lot of nonveg options. Having tried a number of thai restaurants, we always come back here. We love the curries. Panang, Red, Green and Yellow are our favorite. We didn't like the beef green bean as it was a bit tough ( maybe one of those days will try again and update it in future. ) Average is around 40- 50 with tip. xtra with drinks.

Service is slow when they have a crowd. Sometime it can even be a 10 min wait to have them seat you.. I've seen many people just walk off after waiting. Though a bit pricey we dont mind going here as we know that the food is always going to be good. We have been coming here for the past 5 years with family, relatives and friends.

If your going with a kid who is overly active, this may not be a good place for you. The seats are close together and not many people appreciate a kid who is jumping or wants to walk around or is too loud.

Overall a great place and always having people eating\ taking out food.
