“Wedding rehearsal meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

We had a chance to visit Sutter Creek Inn for the rehearsal meal for my nephews wedding. We
very much enjoyed the facilities and the meal was outstanding. I would very much like to return to this and area and stay longer

My family has stayed here several times, always selecting different rooms (it's so much fun), and always thoroughly enjoying the experience. We like to meet up with a lady whose 3 daughters were employed by the Inn at different times, and the girls have only the best things to say about the Inn and its owners.
You simply must experience the lovely ambience to understand what we're all trying to tell you. Every hidden alcove holds beautiful surprises. In the morning my parents would look out their back window and see a turtle sunning itself in a little pond, their own private view.
Thomas Kinkade was even commissioned to paint the Sutter Creek Inn and the painting became one of his best sellers. You can see it in the main house.
The breakfast is mouth watering and the proprietess is just the BEST!
You will LOVE this place for so many reasons!

Room Tip: Many rooms have hanging beds. If you're adventurous, try it out. If you have older adults who...

This trip was an overnight surprise for me, so I didn't know anything about the area, or the Inn until our arrival. It was wonderful!! Beautiful grounds, relaxing atmosphere, great staff. Met 3 other couples at breakfast and all were return visitors because of the same things. Just don't be late for breakfast...9am means 9am, and you may not get to sit together if you're late.

We spent a couple of nights here last weekend, as guests at a wedding to be held locally. The inn is very comfortable, nothing fancy but clean and cozy. The staff was friendly. I was met by Michelle, nice young woman with a welcoming attitude. We enjoyed the included breakfast both mornings, the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We spent a lot of time outside in the gardens visiting with our friends and never got the feeling that we were in the way, or annoying anybody with our chatter.

If you truly want a relaxing vacation or weekend, you must visit this Bed&Breakfast. The Sutter Creek Inn is a charming and Historic bit of the past. This B&B has been my favorite for many years. The rooms are comfortable and not pretentious,no telephones or TV,just a wonderful experience, try the swinging bed in one of the many guest rooms. The breakfast in the mornings are delicious and plentiful, the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon are so good, you can not eat just one.The grounds are beautiful and it is just a pleasure to curl up on one of the lounges and read a good book. The town itself is historic, located in the Gold country,it is fun to wander through the many Antique Shops and meet the friendly people. If you do visit,I know you will not be disappointed. It's like stepping into the past, you may even be able to mine for gold.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are different,They are comfortable and clean. The only ones I wouldn't suggest a...

Charming property on the Main Street of Sutter Creek. Owners have been operating for decades. The breakfast was amazing with a honeyed kind of bacon, strawberry shortcake, excellent coffee.
Very gracious hosts, you can't go wrong.

Spent a nice night at the Sutter Creek Inn last week, very satisfied.
Booked through their website, found it very informative and easy to use. All the rooms have colorful names and different characters to them, pics and descriptions on the website were accurate. Had picked the Miners Cabin initially. When we arrived, it was 106deg out, the proprietor had actually turned on the A/C in a couple rooms as she thought we might prefer the "Cellar" room, A/C less noisy and roomier accomodations. We accepted and were grateful for the consideration.
Rooms are definitely vintage, probably 70's style, but very clean and comfortable. Many have their own private patios. Ours had a 100 books to chose from, no TV which was a blessing, and VERY quiet. We were given a tour of the main house and offered lemonade and cookies right off the bat. No trouble checking in. Even asked us how we prefer our coffee for the next morning.
Grounds are impeccably maintained, lush grass, trees, flowers, lots of private little nooks and crannies to relax in, although only one other couple was booked that day. Enjoyed the hammocks under the trees for an afternoon nap. In the morning, watched hummingbirds feeding and birds doing their morning thing.
Location is perfect. Right in the middle of the main street. Shopping and restaurants were steps away. Cute little town with lots of charm and history. Site of the original 1849 gold strike. Wine tasting and antique stores everywhere.
The breakfast part of B&B was outstanding. The bell rings at 9am sharp and guests sit together at large tables, gives you a chance to be social.
If any complaints, décor was a little dated, rooms have that musty "grandmas house" smell, mattress was a little firm for my taste.
All in all an excellent experience!

Room Tip: Tool shed is biggest, books first. Liked "the cellar" room, Miners Cabin was a little tigh...
