We were here for two nights and stayed in the Upper Wash House. So much to do here and around we were hardly in our rooms. Breakfast was fan. Enjoyed chatting with folks from different places. Would stay here again.

We just returned from a wonderful wine tasting trip in Sutter Creek and decided to spend the night at the bed and breakfast. We had stayed four or five times before so we new it would be good. The rooms are very clean but a bit dated in decor. The grounds are extremely well kept with beautiful green grass and lots of flowers. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The homemade breakfast in the morning is delicious. We had sausages, scrambled eggs, cinnamon strudel french toast, fresh fruit and grape juice squeezed from their orchard. Food was plentiful. Sutter Creek now has nine tasting rooms on Main Street so its nice to stay the night and enjoy the day safely.
We stayed in the garden cottage which is tucked back away from the main house. The cottage has its own bathroom with a bath tub. The wall paper is very outdated but I think it adds to the charm of the bed and breakfast. The cottage is very clean and the bathroom stocked with plenty of towels. The outside sitting area was private. The cottage does not have a television or radio which gave us time to actually talk without distractions and play a few hands of rummy!

We had a chance to visit Sutter Creek Inn for the rehearsal meal for my nephews wedding. We
very much enjoyed the facilities and the meal was outstanding. I would very much like to return to this and area and stay longer

My family has stayed here several times, always selecting different rooms (it's so much fun), and always thoroughly enjoying the experience. We like to meet up with a lady whose 3 daughters were employed by the Inn at different times, and the girls have only the best things to say about the Inn and its owners.
You simply must experience the lovely ambience to understand what we're all trying to tell you. Every hidden alcove holds beautiful surprises. In the morning my parents would look out their back window and see a turtle sunning itself in a little pond, their own private view.
Thomas Kinkade was even commissioned to paint the Sutter Creek Inn and the painting became one of his best sellers. You can see it in the main house.
The breakfast is mouth watering and the proprietess is just the BEST!
You will LOVE this place for so many reasons!

Room Tip: Many rooms have hanging beds. If you're adventurous, try it out. If you have older adults who have mobility issues, you might want to avoid them.

This trip was an overnight surprise for me, so I didn't know anything about the area, or the Inn until our arrival. It was wonderful!! Beautiful grounds, relaxing atmosphere, great staff. Met 3 other couples at breakfast and all were return visitors because of the same things. Just don't be late for breakfast...9am means 9am, and you may not get to sit together if you're late.
