As soon as we saw the room, I marched down to the registration desk and asked to extend our reservation from two nights to three! Alan was quick to oblige.

Reasonably priced, newly renovated. Lots of nice little add-ons: don't miss the s'mores around the campfire every evening. Ask at the desk for their directions to a "secret hike," which became one of the highlights of our Tahoe experience.

We weren't able to try the dinner at the Rustic Lodge, but we heard rave reviews -- it will certainly be part of our next stay (maybe next year?)

Room tip: Second floor of the lodge (units 26-33) probably have the best view of the lake. In #33, you can see the lake from in bed!

My wife and I made a quick trip to Tahoe for our anniversary. It is not easy finding a new or renovated hotel in Tahoe these days. Most are either being renovated or are past their prime. Lucky for us we found the highly rated and previously renovated Cedar Glen! And what a great place. Modern with a rustic look, beautiful grounds and best of all--a campfire at night complete with all the ingredients for s'mores ready to roast. The fresh fruit at breakfast was also a great added touch in the morning ..... an example of the little extras the friendly staff provide. Perhaps the best surprise is a restaurant that rivals Soule Domain. But beware, reservations are a must for this small restaurant. We were lucky enough to get one of the small bar tables in the lobby that are available without reservations. Our view of Lake Tahoe was a bonus. We were in the very clean Romance Suite which had a big spa bathtub. North Lake Tahoe has a lot of great activities. We kayaked at Sand Harbor, rafted down the Truckee, lost money at the Hyatt in Incline Village and spent more money in all those shops in Truckee.

We loved it here. We stayed for 3 nights and wish we would have stayed longer. The continental breakfast was excellent. I particularly loved the pastries (I believe they have a pastry chef on site). The room had lovely views over the property with Lake Tahoe in the background. It was only a short walk over the road to get to the beach too. The supermarket is a very short drive away as are other things (like Tahoe Adventure company for kaiaking). The staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful. My wife I loved it here. When we are at Lake Tahoe again, this is where we are staying.

Room tip: I think any room in this place is a good room! I would advise a couple to choose a room upstairs if I was being picky.

Thank you for your flattering review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay here with us, although 3 nights is just too short! Next time we hope to see you stay longer with us. It is always a joy to see our smiling returning guests.

Cedar glen lodge is a wonderful place to stay. Rooms are clean. Staff are wonderful. Close to a beach. Grounds are kept up and love the campfire and s'mores every night as a added touch. Pool was sparkling clean but I disintegrated go in it. There's to much to do. We stayed 3 nights and look forward to put next stay there

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you made use of all Cedar Glen has to offer on our property. Our pool and hot tub are next on the list of remodel, so next time you stay hopefully it will be tip top! Thank you for noticing that, although a bit outdated, it is still nice and clean. It is our hope that it does not detour our guests from using it. Look forward to seeing you on your next trip back to Lake Tahoe.

Awesome place! Everything was super clean. I absolutely loved the decor! All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Quaint little place with so much to do. Only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the hot tub, its quality doesn't match the rest of the resort. Only wish we had stayed longer and dined in the fabulous restaurant!

Thank you for your great review. We love to hear about suggestions from our guests. Yes, our hot tub is in need of an upgrade and is first on our list for remodel this year. We hope that it did not keep you from using it! Although it is a bit shabby, it is well kept. We hope to see you again next year for a longer stay and please check out our restaurant!
