Overall, we really enjoyed out stay at Firelite Lodge. We were in Tahoe with our two kids, so the two bedroom king with pull out twin sofa was very convenient, as was the little kitchenette (which is really just a sink, fridge, microwave and countertop, but it was great for storing and preparing snacks.) The free breakfast was very basic: waffles, toast, cereal, muffins, fruit salad, coffee and juice. It got the job done. Our room had a nice covered gas fireplace in it, which was awesome for warming up at after a long day of sledding. The bathroom had been recently renovated and was really nice- and they give you a huge pile of towels! One of my favorite parts was that after driving all afternoon to get to Tahoe we were arriving after 10pm, so the confirmation email said to call. We did, and they gave us our room number over the phone. We arrived to an unlocked room that had the heat turned on and the keys waiting for us on the table. It was so nice to just go into the warm room, unload the car and go to bed without the hassle of having to check in. My one complaint: the beds are awful. Really, really uncomfortable. Despite that, we would probably stay here again if we were with the kids.
