Yes, it is one of many, many such lodgings around the Lake. Yes, it was a motel that was converted to a more useable kitchen, living, bedroom combo. You might even think you have pulled into a place from 50 years ago. Yet inside, the rooms, bathroom, kitchen are all bright and modern, if not spacious. Almost all furniture and trim is made of rustic looking pine. The bed was comfortable, the room clean, and the service was responsive. A gas fireplace provides a nice cozy spot.

The property sits in the midst of the tall pines that surround the lake, and it extends via a swiming pool and picnic area all the way to the lakefront. We came to ski. The location was good, and ski rentals and a Safeway were very close by. We would return to this rustic facility. Caution, the entrance is somewhat difficult to see while in traffic.

Room Tip: It appears that room size may vary, and there appeared to be a new and possibly more luxurious build...

My husband and I love to go to Redwolf Lakeside Lodge. We have traveled internationally as well as Domestically and have always felt that when our family stays at Redwolf Lakeside Lodge that we are visiting old friends and that we have arrived to our second home. The lodge does not have AC however normally by the time we come back from playing all day at the Lake or pool the rooms are cool. We were there in October and I am late in sending this but I need to express my extreem gratification to visit the lodge. In October it was cold enough to snow and the town was preparing for the winter. Our room had a gas fireplace which I asked to be turned on and snuggle with my hubby. We had a few good days to play so we walked or I normally paint a rock or pine cone, enjoy a smore or Trinidads BBQ by the Lake. The lake is beautiful all year long and worth the vacation. ENJOY!!!! WE AlWAYS DO!!!

My wife and I have visited Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge on several occasions. Sometimes for week stays, sometimes for shorter. We usually stay during the summer with our family and always have a pleasant time with the activities, the pool and beach. The kids love it, and we find it relaxing for the grown ups as well. This time however, we were able to stay for one night while visiting family in Tahoe for Thanksgiving. The weather was a little different from in the summer...but the overall stay, the room and the service from the staff was still top notch. This property is well kept and we know what to expect and what we will get each and every time we stay. Definately a property that we will continue to visit when in vacationing in Tahoe.

I stayed for a couple of nights with my sister and friend in Unit 5 and we were really happy with the location of the lodge, the size and spaciousness of our room, and the outside spas (two of them!). One complaint would be the old television that had poor reception due to the antenna cable being loose, which also affected the quality of the DVD we were watching. It was raining in Tahoe during our trip so I guess the TV mattered more to us than usual. It also would have been good to be clear about their housekeeping services as our room was not cleaned at all during te two nights we were there so perhaps we were meant to inform them of this need rather than expecting it.
