“In a class all by itself”

When it comes to vineyards in Temecula, Leoness is clearly in a class all by itself. Easily my favorite wine in the region. The zin, the Syrah, the cab, the port... All unique and all delicious. The vineyard itself, is nothing short of stunning. The tasting room/outdoor restaurant/gazebo and rolling vineyards rival any winery in Santa Barbara or Napa, as does the wine. Do yourself a favor on a sunny summer day, go for a tasting, grab a glass of the white merlot and stroll the vineyards. Make sure to swing by the restaurant for a gourmet treat (get the truffle fries). Or join the wine club and avoid the crowds in barrel room.

Either way, get yourself to Leoness. You'll be glad you did.

If you only have time for one or two wineries while in Temecula, this is one of them. The surroundings are GORGEOUS!!! You will definitely find a perfect spot for a photo. The wine was delicious and although we did not eat at their restaurant, the menu looked tempting. One of the workers, Tony, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable but patient with those who were not too familiar with wine. You could probably easily spend several hours here!

Leonesse Cellars was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed this as part of the Grapeline tour. Their wine tour took the time to explain and review the wine making process and included the Leonesse perspective. They capped it off with a wonderful, informative tasting. I highly recommend spending time at Leonesse Cellars.

While the wine is fantastic, the staff was rude. They acted like it was a chore to do their job. This made it a very unpleasant experience. Our group of 4 will not be going back. There are so many other wineries to choose from, why choose one where the staff is anything BUT helpful and polite.

I love to make a day trip to Temecula and visit Leonesse. The restaurants has amazing food and great service.
If you are a win club member, you will get a chance to go to the barrel room for wine tasting there.
Their white merlot is a must for anyone who loves rose. My dad loves the Syrah. One wine tasting of Syrah, my dad has me signed up for the wine club :)
TIPS, the restaurant opens Fri-Sunday only.
