My husband and I know nothing of winery resorts. I just decided to try it. We both were amazed at the beautiful and relaxing setting among the wineyards. The room was large and elegant complete the spa tub. The lounge had a great happy hour with an eclectic selection to chose from. From check-in to the tasting room to the shops and restaurants, the staff were outstanding. This was an unexpected experience and one we are going to come back to enjoy. Thank you for introducing us to the best of Temecula. We will be back for a balloon flight and of course the Girlfriend's adventure!

Room Tip: Well, room #311 was superb....beautiful view of the sunrise from the balcony in the morning and clos...

This has been probably the fifth or sixth trip to Temecula staying at South Coast Resort. The villas are excellent and you feel like you are at home. They have recently upgraded the TV's to large flat screens and they can be more easily viewed either in bed or on the adjoining couch. The rooms are nothing short of spectacular with everything you will need. The bathrooms are elegant and it includes a spa tub and a separate shower. The bathrooms are granite and travertine. On the weekends you can expect for the resort to be more crowded, but if you stay during the week, there are a lot fewer people and the rate is less. If staying on the weekend there is a minimum two day stay if you start your trip on either a Friday or Saturday. Sunday, this is not the case. The time you take the trip does not matter, because the service is the same no matter when you go, but if you are into smaller crowds, mid week is the better bet. On our trip in November it was 80F both days. That was a little warm for this time of the year, but the winter is also a great time to visit. The resort also sports a fantastic restaurant. While I have not had lunch there, breakfast and dinner have been very good. (Ok, small request SCW)....add toast to the breakfast without charging extra for two slices of bread....but other than that it is a nice place to dine. There are also a full service spa, and if you want you can also take a tour of winery. There is plenty to do here without leaving the property. That being said, there are around 28 wineries in the area to keep you busy, including the tasting room at SCW. Downtown Temecula also has some shopping and restaurants which you might enjoy if you need a break from wine tasting. If you are staying out in Temecula, SCW is the place to stay. Look a their pictures of the villas on their website and you will be setting up a trip in no time flat. Two days will fly by quickly...consider staying longer midweek and really enjoy what SCW and the Temecula area has to offer!

Room Tip: Try to get the villas that face inward toward the vines. While the outside villas do not directly f...

An excellent place to relax and enjoy yourself with that special someone. Everyone on staff goes out of their way to make your experience staying here, the best it can be. Dining is first class, spa treatment was wonderful. Walking the vineyard is a perfect way to relax.

My husband and I have been to Temecula several times, but this was the first time we stayed at the South Coast Winery Resort and Spa. We had an amazing time. The villas were beautifu and the customer service both at the hotel and restaurant was exceptional. Our only regret was that we could not stay any longer.

I had a great time here. The room was beautiful and the view of the winery was breathtaking. I especially enjoyed the bathroom. The layout was luxurious and provided plenty of space to spread and get ready for the next day. The conversational bathroom bench was a nice touch for those interested in bath time conversations. I'm only giving the overall experience 4 stars because I found a spider in the bathroom and the long walk from the front desk to the room was rather far.

This was one of our best vacations. We go to many local places in San Diego for mini-vacations throughout the year. Our stay at South Coast Winery was outstanding. The staff was very courteous and helpful, the location and weather were gorgeous, the food was excellent and the wines were unbelievable. We joined the wine club we loved the wines so much. I am canceling my subscription to another wine club. Looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: We stayed in a villa. Simply beautiful. Look for the hot air balloons lifting off early in the mor...
