Owner description: AronHill Vineyards resides atop a steep limestone overlook just west of Paso Robles. Here, Judy Aron cultivates eight acres of dry-farmed Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing small-lot wines of natural purity and structure. The AronHill Bistro is the Paso Robles wine country’s dining discovery, where you will enjoy fresh dishes made from seasonal and local ingredients, all paired with stunning hilltop views. The philosophy of the AronHill Bistro mirrors our approach to winemaking: deliver full, authentic flavors by relying on the best ingredients, and by not overcomplicating what nature has provided.

We made a stop here on our wine tasting day, and it was a wonderful find! We did a tasting followed by lunch ... the food was terrific. The panini's and salads we had were all delicious. The wines we tasted were even better! All 6 of us walked out with at least 2 bottles a piece. Judy, the owner, personally led our tasting, and her passion for her wines and what she does was apparent. The entire staff was very attentive. Great find!

Paso Robles has some great wineries and vineyards, but lacking places to have lunch. After going to a couple of wineries, if you want some sustenance, go to AronHill Vineyards on Hwy 46. It's on a hill, has a lovely view of the countryside, and great sandwiches and salads. You can eat indoors or outside on the patio. There wines are delightful as well. Wish they were open for dinner!

It was our first stop to the area, arriving around 3 PM, and Josh and Judy and Marco? (I think), set the mood for a fantastic weekend. Inviting, friendly, with local recommendations, stories of all of our travels, and laughing, just what it should be while drinking good wine with friends. I believe the tasting fee was $10 that is waived when 2 bottles are purchased, which we were happy to do. Really nice tasting red wine, but it was the personality of the staff that set the day. We had limited specific plans for the area and we took the advice of the staff on all of them. Great weekend as a result.

On Hwy 46 between San Simeon/Cambria and Paso Robles, my husband and I followed a sign to Aronhill Winery because it was lunchtime and we were starving. My normal Internet sources hadn't produced Aronhill as an option, so we were a bit concerned about what we'd find upon arrival at this lovely location near Templeton. We were treated to one of the most pleasant wine tasting experiences of a lifetime, along with a delicious light lunch. We were so impressed by the wines tasted that we bought several on the spot and signed up for one of the wine clubs offered. We didn't want to leave without ensuring that we'd have ongoing access to Aronhill even after returning to Washington - every wine we tasted was that good for the price.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates affordable wines, traditionally crafted in small batches and not sold anywhere except the winery.

Sarah served us about 8 tastings of wine, all but 1 were red wines. She was very knowledgeable and quite pleasant. The wine was good, but pricey, so we didn't buy anything. They serve lunch, but we arrived just at 3:00 after the kitchen closed. I was disappointed that they couldn't offer us anything to eat.
